Actually for me it's "Everytime you fly, you're likely to be sitting in the exit row, therefore in the event of an emergency, you exit via the door right next to you, in much the same way as you exited your car this morning"

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

So every morning you throw your car door as far away as you can before disembarking :D

Actually I was going with the door will flip up and you simply walk out onto the wing... :D

They could always include excerpts from FlyLo (Come Fly with Me), though they may be better-suited to JQ... lol!

not many positive responses for the current cricket safety video. Most people from OS wouldn't understand it or give a toss.

So what ideas can we offer the red roo to help them out?

Still use the Aussie test team, but passengers should be throwing airline food at them & trying to trip the over as they walk to their seats.

I think it's time to have a cooking theme (since those seem to be so popular). Maybe something along the lines of 'The Cook and The Chef' - for those not familair its one of those friendly friendly shows where two chefs help each other out, watch wistfully as each other cooks, and 'ooh' and 'ahh' when trying each others food.

It might go something like this:

Simon: hello Maggie what are you going to do today?
Maggie: Well Simon, i thought I might show people how to use their life-jackets
Simon: wow Maggie, that sounds great! Where do you find them?
Maggie: Well Simon, I find mine in the compartment beside my seat. You'd find yours underneath your seat!
Simon: Thanks Maggie! While you're just taking it out of your container i thought i might show people how to use their seat-belt....

you get the picture... and relevant too since Ms Beer provides our quince paste and ice-creams during the flight :)

The checklist one (still on jq) peeved me no end as it did them in summary first (great short... Perfect) then went into excruciating detail and was too long.

I would love a video visualization the warning to not inflate the vest inside the aircraft by showing someone struggling to get out.. As well as heels/luggage deflating a slide

Just keep it simple....and ask johnk and medhead they actually do fly a fair bit. There are some, unfortunately, very uninspirational posts here.

yet that check-list was one of the best constructed safety demonstrations I have ever seen. The psychology behind it was brilliant. It asked leading questions which even the most seasoned (and possibly bored) frequent flyer literally 'had' to answer in their head. 'brace position - which one would you use?' immediately required someone to decide which one they would actually have to use. For people who did not know, it piqued their interest to know more during the main demonstration.

The dual demo killed two birds with one stone - the supposed news-paper-reading-I've-seen-it-all-before crowd, as well as the first time flyers.
