Actually, I expect 2360 out of it; I have already flown:Kiwi Flyer said:serfty's DONE4 routing has 2060 SCs and can be improved further. ...
It is a great deal if wanting to maintain status. The way you have split your trip and using points to return is very creative.serfty said:Actually, I expect 2360 out of it; I have already flown:Kiwi Flyer said:serfty's DONE4 routing has 2060 SCs and can be improved further. ...

Raw ticket cost ~AUD8050, raw cost per SC AUD3.40 ...
Now, tell us honestly. Do you really want to go through the AY BKK-SIN experience again?JohnK said:But ~AUD8050 can take me where I want to go 5 times, possibly even more if I optimise the process. Book a one way with points to SIN and buy cheap economy on AY to BKK. Then each time buy a return D class fare BKK-SIN and return economy or WT+ fare SIN-SYD. The return leg will be the beginning of the next trip. If I do 3 trips a year it would easily maintain QF Gold.
Absolutely. It is character building. And cheap.NM said:Now, tell us honestly. Oh, the next round of program enhancements  .Kiwi Flyer said:JohnK said:Need to be watch out I don't reach QF Lifetime Gold too soon.
Well the good news for you is the longer you wait, the more likely QF will either increase the requirements or reduce the benefits of lifetime status, or both.

In the time frame JohnK is implying there is likely to be several rounds of enhancements

I was referring to QFF thank you very much. :? I was going to reply "at least" but thought that "for sure" might sound better. I figure that it will take me at least 10 years to reach QF Lifetime Gold and I would be very surprised if there isn't several rounds of enhancements to the QFF program in that time frame.Kiwi Flyer said:JohnK said:For sure. :wink:Kiwi Flyer said:In the time frame JohnK is implying there is likely to be several rounds of enhancements
Why do I get the feeling JohnK is now not referring to QFF but rather some other enhancements

There certainly have been significant changes over the last 10 yeats. In fact, Lifetime status did not exist 10 years ago.JohnK said:I was referring to QFF thank you very much. :? Flight Limitations
To quote Pauline - "Please explain"
- Within Australia only one non stop flight is permitted between Perth and Brisbane, Cairns, Melbourne or Sydney
-MEL-PER-DRW-MEL-
If you look at any business (banking, mobile phone, pay tv etc) you will find that significant changes have occurred over the last 10 years. Not all good. FFP's are not immune to change and the majority of the time the changes are not intended to help us. But occassionally something like Lifetime status slips through and becomes beneficial to some people.NM said:There certainly have been significant changes over the last 10 yeats.
