So razors a big gripe? F Hasn't been 'downgraded', new LHR lounge is not 'downgraded' QF don't even have one.

You will find that the response will be that QF should have a MEL/SYD style F-lounge at LHR, instead of the shared lounge. I believe this POV has already been mentioned.

And countered based on the number of potential pax, both Qantas and other oneworld carriers.
I suspect the SIN lounge will get more daily passengers than LHR (admittedly none flying QF F)

This would suggest more QF F pax in LHR than MEL just on QF flight numbers. WP, P1 & CL not included in these calculations ( but then the rumour mill re the new LHR lounge is no special benefits unless f. CL or P1). Nor have I considered all the OW f & OWE pax (more in LHR)

BTW red roo, don't use this a a reason to remove the Flounge at MEL: it is the single best thing about flying QF by a long way.
 
Isn't the new LHR lounge a combines lounge like in SIN and LAX?

Razors are a massive thing. for the price paid by F pax, surely the coughpy razor you give to your Qantas club Y pax on a $89 1 hour flight isn't good enough. Someone paying $15k one way deserves a decent shave if they want it.

Still Qantas is profitable. Must help that people are paying the inflated F price for lower cost service standards.

Your selectively choosing to specify 6 qf coded ek flights at lhr but you ignore the QF coded flights out of mel on EX which include at least 4 departures to KUL SIN AKL & DXB. you also neglect to consider the significant amount of plats they cater for on own metal to sin, hkg, akl, wlg as well

Short term benefit though :). We were rusted on Qantas fans, but having become a bit tired of paying for F-, we are now spreading our wings and spending our dollars to experience other carriers' F. After our education process we might come back to Qantas (I do like the staff!) but if it genuinely is F-, we won't. The FF program has minimal value for us and I suspect for many who pay for F, so no handcuffs for us.

I deliberately chose to ignore WP, as I noted, as all the mention of superior service in the 1 class lounge has been for P1 & F and not for WP: as with so many things at QF WP just do not aseem to matter

RE EK ex MEL: 2xA380, 1xB777: still far fewer F pax compared with LHR where EK provide the "QF" service for most Austalian destinations. Interestingly, The QF website now only lists QF9 for the weekly timetable MEL-DXB
