I'm travelling out of HNL on an FJ flight (booked on the QF code) in a few weeks. Two of us in J (both SG) and two in Y (NB).

If the lounge were a QP I know we'd have access for all of us (one guest for each SG) however when the lounge moves into the Admirals Club phase, does it remove the QFF access benefits? We depart at midday so will probably be in the lounge at 10am, however the JQ departure for the morning leaves at 8. So in that case, is it likely that my QFF benefits will be applied or will they wave me away as it's now AA's problem?

I'm assuming being in J will give me access to it anyway (however without guests), or do FJ use another lounge in HNL?

With the QF flight number you should have access.

I have found the HNL agents to be among the friendliest around.

There are FJ flights to HNL with a QF code? Please share which flights these are as I went looking recently and didn't see any.

Ex NAN, not ex Australia. (The FJ flights from Australia to NAN all have QF codes, obviously).

Oh thanks.
There is a dive boat I want to do a trip on out of Kona.
That would make a great midyear getaway
Thanks heaps JohnPhelan

Thanks. I'll give it a shot and report back.

The FJ to HNL option is pretty good (in my view anyway). Pulls in 560 SC for just on $3000 in J. Adds for us a nice overnight stop in Fiji and a fairly short hop over to HNL (but yes, on the 737). It'll be interesting to see what the loads are like. Thus far we have the only two sold seats in J and Y seems fairly empty too.
