In the past week or so when viewing AFF on my phone via the browser I get this popup.

F3D5E81F-7282-4353-BD29-0062EEE94920.png

It doesn’t happen with any other website.

Is it an AFF thing, or has my phone been hacked?

If it’s not an AFF thing, any idea why it only happens when I’m on AFF?

Certainly looks like an ad might be displaying that we do not want, so shall investigate and get back to you.

Could be a number of things.

Is it only happening when you're connected on the wifi network you're in now? Try switching that off and accessing the site over 4G.
If it's happening only on wifi then your DNS or router is compromised.

It could also be that some plugin the site uses has been compromised, but we'd be seeing alot more users commenting if that was the case.

This particular adware looks like it's popped up alot on Safari going by a quick search.

Only solution I've seen is to clear your browser history and cache.

+1 seeing the same problem on safari on phone. Haven’t been able to pin it down to only when on wifi.

Been having the same thing on the Ipad. Hasn't appeared on either a Windows computer or Android phone.

I'll check today with our ad provider to ensure that the ad is not in the pool of ads being displayed on AFF, but I'm pretty sure this pop-up is not generated by AFF. I suspect it is due to the setup of the specific device.

Same prob here.

Cleared AFF data - problem still exists.

Blocked page server sites:
chaomuse.com
hsolalscony.com
jamabee.com
but seems to served my multiple sites.

Turned of javascript - and that stoppped it. But the sites functionality is limited when js is turned off.

The next step would be block your adserver, which would not help AFF.

The ad is only seems to be on AFF on my device.

Suggestions?

I also just received this message this evening while accessing AFF on an ipad using Safari. I have not experienced this on any other sites.

I just wanted to let you know, this is still being investigated, but the issue has not occurred for @Admin or myself yet, and we both browse with ads on. Tonight I have been using my iPhone trying many pages to get it to appear, with no luck.

Running an adblocker that whitelists AFF by any chance?
I didn't think you could run an adblocker (easily) on an iPhone or iPad, however the site is set to detect such occurrences if you're not a paid member.

It is likely a problem with those who provide the advertisements to show on AFF rather than AFF itself.

iPhone Virus Popup Removal (Feb. 2019 Update) - Virus Removal

How to get rid of Congratulations You Won Virus Pop up (Feb. 2019 Update) - Virus Removal
Browser hijackers can be a genuine pain in the neck, especially when they also manage to invade your iPhone,iPad and Android devices. One of the latest programs of this type is called Congratulations You Won “Virus”. And just like the other hijackers, it will invade your Chrome or Safari browser, change its homepage, set a new default search engine and start redirecting you to seemingly random websites. Not to mention all the annoying online ads that start filling your screen when you least want them too. If you’re here because of this exact browser hijacker, we can show you how to remove it from your portable device in just a few simple steps.
