OK, First ever post and I have questions for the Virgin Team ...

Booked on Virgin website MCY to AKL . VA7468 29/6/14. Booking ref LNDMRA. FF number included in booking.

Codeshare with Air NZ, became NZ7468.

A week after my return Virgin hadn't credited points or status.

Emailed goldvelocity, explained everything as above....

Received an email saying that seeing as I flew with ETIHAD they would contact them and please be patient, could be 4-6 weeks ... And could I put my FF number in future bookings.. :evil:

So .... I emailed them again, and told them I never flew with ETIHAD, I booked and paid through Virgin .... and added all the above info for them AGAIN.

A week later the status and points appeared on my gold account. :D

Another week later they DISAPPEARED :evil: No email.

So, I email AGAIN to find out whats going on???? I receive a reply that they are claiming them through ANZ and PLEASE be patient it can take a few weeks... ffs...

So to the VIRGIN TEAM, my questions are..

1) Are the staff answering the emails actually trained in reading the information and answering the questions? It seems a certain Mary Myers may just be an automated email considering her ridiculous answer to the first email.

2) Ok, I can see you couldn't be bothered emailing me when you updated the points/sc but surely when you removed them you could have ?????

3) What is the point of booking and paying through Virgin ( Y'know being loyal ) if you are going to claim through Air NZ and the rewards be less?

4) And finally... ANY CHANCE YOU COULD FIX THE SITUATION ????

Perhaps part of the 'confusion' they are having is that all information regarding this flight was removed from my account...

And should you enter the booking ref, it refers you to call the service centre... ( However, I would prefer their answers in writing )

Perhaps also, you could confirm whether or not, status/points are earned on this Maroochydore - Akl flight either with yourselves or Air NZ, for everyone's benefit.

As far as I know, all VA coded flights (regardless of the operator) should earn status credits. I've flown NZ flights on the VA codeshare many times and always eventually received credit.

Agreed greenfish, its got me beat what the hell they are doing/or not doing ?
Seems simple enough to me, all booked and pd through there website as originally mentioned. Seriously, how difficult is it !

And the drama of stupid emails/adding sc and points/removing flight info/removing sc and points is all starting to reek of not only laziness by their staff but also perhaps even internal shenanigans ??? :shock:
