General Cruise Discussion

I saw that but 'moved on'. Will check it out, thanks.

EDIT: May be an issue

Could be still worth a look (select USA) and if you find something try the Cruise line direct?

That caveat might explain why it’s sometime hard to see a simple calendar view of a particular ships* sailing sequence that’s for sale.

Sorry to ask for clarification but are you seeking a site that compares prices for a specific cruise or just identifies all the different cruises on offer?

Ideally, what I'd like is a site that covers a large number of cruise lines where, for instance, I could filter down just like I can for individual cruise lines

* LOCATION Geographic (as most cruise lines do)
* VESSEL SIZE eg Large >2,000 pax/ medium 2,000-500 pax/small 500-100 pax/very small vessel <100pax (also a proxy for price)
* DATE Months
* CRUISE TYPE Classic / expedition / gastronomic / etc
* OFFERS No/low single supplement / early bird discount etc
* INCLUSIONS all gratuities/excursions/drinks (or not)

So maybe at the end I'd have perhaps 6 cruises on various cruise lines for the Greek Iles/Greece, in H2 next year, pax <500, classic cruise where I will pay no single supplement or 'low'.

I could then look in detail and choose.

I will give this a crack!

As far as I am aware there is nothing decent that allows such filtering by ship size, classic/expedition, solo discounts etc. Solo discounts get offered and pulled quickly, usually at the whim of the cruise line, so it's hard for third party sites to include this filter reliably.

This is how I would work through it.

Preliminary search on Vacationstogo using their old school Search Box. Ignore their "bargain" prices and marketing. They often don't include taxes and fees and are for US residents in US dollars. Just use the search box to identify suitable cruises.

In this case:
July 2026 - Oct 2026
Greek Islands
You can also be port specific which is really handy.

Then one by one filter down to the relevant cruise lines . Yes, this takes product knowledge of ship sizes and what they do. I've included lines that carry 700 and under below, that have non-expedition ships.

Ponant
Silversea
Seabourn
Emerald
Windstar
Ritz-Carlton (if you're loaded)
Regent
Oceania
Azamara

From their go to specific cruise lines websites and see how it fleshes out for a solo on the sailings you're keen on.

Most solo deals are for travel within the next 6 months when the cruise lines has enough inventory to offer these deals. And most cruise lines have a "solo" page these days that identifies all current "solo" friendly cruises.

Some examples. Ponant here. Silversea here. I bookmark for easy reference.

There will also be a few cruise lines that are missed in above search, such as this one with Travelmarvel.

Hope this helps.

Yes. Of course. This is a good way. I’d forgotten VTG.

Preliminary search on Vacationstogo

That's excellent and probably as close as I/we are going to get. Many thanks. The one click on the # to see the itinerary is enough filter for me to get seriously looking.

(if you're loaded)

I thought I had to be loaded into their database - but now I understand what you mean

Yes, do that. Ponants are pretty attractive and by mid next year I will have done 5 on them (very well priced and exactly where I wanted to go) but they are wearing off on me.

No probs. Definitely a gap in the market for a better cruise search tool, but for now it's the best I know.

Hope you find the right one.

This might cover some of your requirements
I just looked up Crystal cruises early 2026. That site had all sold out whereas on the Crystal site all still on sale and some with price reductions.
So I doubt that site really gives you useful information.
