I am straight to the closest crew member with that lot. I've done it before when people are grubs at the buffet. But nothing as revolting as this.
 
Not sure I want to share this now after the previous cruise comments, but I've found another knitting cruise for Mum and me!
This is a Danube one, from Budapest to Vilshofen in early Nov next year. My only disappointment is it's likely to be a little too early for Christmas markets. Mum was keen to go while she can still travel.
 
I’m doing two back-to-back Med cruises in November, each with a choice of daily excursions. The email notice to choose excursions for the first one came out last week so we knew the choices for the second cruise will be coming up soon.

One excursion on the second cruise is the only choice of the day and they’re only taking a very small group to the Alhambra, Spain. I went there many years ago before I really appreciated it, so I was desperate to go on this excursion.

I let my travel agent know about this and my other requests for that cruise and she diarised it for last night. So she emailed them and I’ve got accepted for all my chosen excursions, even before everyone got the email saying “you can now choose your excursions”. That still hasn’t arrived. Score.

The Alhambra is magnificent. I visited there with my mother maybe 15-20 years ago as part of a bus tour.

Which port is that from? Malaga? That’s doable (about 1 1/2 hrs ea way).

If you miss out, Malaga has its own lesser known “Alhambra” the Alcazabilla. Not as grand but worth a look.

Motril. An hour away.

I'm not sure what this means, from the tour description - the Alhambra is open daily from 8:30am. Although Ponant do have a habit of starting early, so maybe we'll be off by 7am for pre-opening entry.

That works! We must have whizzed past Motril heading east and then North.

Pity you’re not going to Almeria. The Alcazaba and surrounds are massive!

Cartagena is a quirky place.

The Alhambra has been timed ticket entrance for at least 20 years.
