A lot of AFF members have reported over the past few months that one or more of their paid Qantas flights have credited as a "Classic Plus" reward, meaning Points Club members earn significantly fewer status credits (and I guess non-Points Club members would earn nothing?).

I've heard a few people say this happened only on the last sector of their booking, on a paid Business fare, and/or for bookings made during Double Status Credit promos.

If this has happened to you, could you post your experience here so we can find out what's going on? Let us know a few details, like whether you're in Points Club, the type of booking, whether it was eligible for DSCs, if you made any changes to the booking, etc.

Let this thread also serve as a reminder to check that you receive the correct Qantas points & status credits that you're entitled to. If you don't, you can contact the Qantas Frequent Flyer Service Centre to request the difference - although ideally you wouldn't have to in the first place. ;)

My experience was this happened on a paid Business class flight booked during DSC. I was a Points Club Member.

Contacted the Qantas FF Service Centre via email and the DSCs (and QFF points) were correctly credited within a day.

Glad I followed up, that would have been a lot of status credits and QFF points gone missing.

You say "request", but let's perhaps consider calling it what it has to be? A demand.

And, honestly, it's not really on in 2026, is it?

+1 .

Has occurred multiple times this year, even recently as 2 weeks ago..

The issue I believe are flights operated by Alliance Airlines.

Those sectors flown by alliance are consistently the issue IME, when the sector is actual QantasLink, ie sectors flown on the A220, points & SC post correctly instantly.

The root cause I believe is sector s operated by Alliance change to “ alliance airlines eticket” in the QFF app.

Resolution involves a phone call to the QFF service centre.

Hot tip: if chasing up with QFF service centre, and the sector was Eligible for DSC, await until DSC post a few days later after the initial classic plus SC posting, as the QFF service centre will base your claim on the booking date, not the voucher generation date.
