General Cruise Discussion

I saw that description in another thread and thought - must have been travelling on "Celebrity Brocos Leagues Club" and felt sorry for the low-renter.

Meals and booze are included in many cruises, including the ones I travel on (SilverSea, Ponant) but you'd hardly call them "all you can eat (or drink)", any more than the buffet at any hotel or indeed at home.

@Quickstatus - your continuing close inquisitiveness about cruises can be addressed by actually taking a cruise. Small vessel, expedition, such as the Kimberley Coast - you'll like it.
Yep, pretty much all cruises are “all you can eat” - if that’s one’s thing.

Yes, here and in the US there are plenty of hungry peeps who go for that. But certainly not the majority.

Coming back to Celebrity - the restaurant food is generally very good. You do have to pay a surcharge for some of the better specialty restaurants and booze of course. But you’re paying thousands of dollars less than a small ship (nice as they are).

We got quite a good price on a December NZ cruise on Nova. Will be interesting to see what we think of this larger Silversea (no s on the end) ship compared with the others we have been on.

Der - realised this related to a post snout 4 pages back and I had already posted. Oh well, I’ll blame old age!
