The holier than thou who look down on the unclean from their towers - attributing Covid positive people to unclean behaviours and not “following the science”.

Until they themselves started becoming “dirty”…
Like our Police Commissioner and Opposition Leader.

Since it is unlikely to be sponsored to the approval agencies, it will likely never be distributed....

New patent-free COVID vaccine developed as gift to the world

Though it is already in production in India and producers in Bangladesh,Indonesia and Botswana have been given the technology.
Sounds like a great idea to get more under developed countries up to speed with vaccination which is essential to slow te spread of disease and reduce chances of new variants.

A brilliant political move by President Macron in a speech on his covid strategy.
“I am not about pissing off the French people,” the president said in an interview with readers of Le Parisien on Tuesday. “But as for the non-vaccinated, I really want to piss them off. And we will continue to do this, to the end. This is the strategy.”
“In a democracy, the worst enemies are lies and stupidity,” Macron said. “We are putting pressure on the unvaccinated by limiting, as much as possible, their access to activities in social life.”
So, he said, “we have to tell them: from 15 January, you will no longer be able to go to the restaurant. You will no longer be able to go for a coffee, you will no longer be able to go to the theatre. You will no longer be able to go to the cinema.”

Macron added: “When my freedoms threaten those of others, I become someone irresponsible. Someone irresponsible is not a citizen.”

The CDC a week ago decreased the interval for a booster to 5 months as well as allowing 12 - 15 years to get a booster.

Note to those ATAGI critics they reduced the interval to 5 months 3 weeks before the CDC and it is now 3 weeks to reduce it further to 4 months which the CDC has not done.

Is there much evidence about 2 or 3 dose effect on Omicron transmissibility?

Discussed in this post.

Despite a few anti vaxxers saying don't vaccinate if pregnant the real world experience is it is not risky.

Has anyone seen any official advice in respect of having a booster soon after recovering from a Covid infection?
For an otherwise eligible adult, with mild immunodeficiency:
Is it better to wait for some time period, or just go ahead & get boosted?
Are there any increased risks of adverse reaction to the booster?
Is the effect of the booster reduced?

ABC published an article on this this week:

You can get your booster as soon as you are recovered, but may choose to wait.

Note that NSW CHO Dr Chant stated this morning that a recent covid infection gives you an automatic 1 month exemption from needing to test and ISO if exposed as a close contact again. But after a month, there is a risk of re-infection, so same rules apply as they do to others who have not had covid.

If you don’t need the booster for work or travel purposes you could put it off a little bit, but if you have immunodeficiency you wouldn’t want to put it off too long.

Some people have no side effects oher than perhaps a sore arm to the vaccine. Other people can get some of the milder symptoms of COVID. So you want to be feeling recovered when having the vaccine.

It’s important to note that the vaccine can’t cause you to test positive to COVID.

Over time the protection against catching COVID after having the booster wanes, but so far in general the protection against severe disease remains strong after the booster.

There may be a new variant of the vaccine targeted at omicron (it is in development), but a vaccine targeted at delta was produced but hasn’t been deemed necessary as yet, so we will see.

In the UK it's suggested to wait 4 weeks after a positive result.

I was advised by both NSW Health and my GP that I could receive my booster after the symptoms of my recent infection ended. I ended my isolation on the 11th Jan after being symptom free for a few days.

I was scheduled for my booster on the 24th Jan but I rescheduled it until the 7th Feb.

I don’t see a problem waiting a bit longer than what ATAGi is saying re boosters.

Let’s reduce the anxiety and hysteria
There is no science saying a slight delay is bad.
