Thankyou for this update.
News heading in the right direction
Maybe US vaccine hesitant numbers drop as their cohort diminishes by Darwinian natural attrition…

How about trialing their stuff on people who are out of time
Molnupiravir was trialled initially in that way but didn’t work, so they trialled it on the not yet hospitalised

A lot of the out of time people are out of time not because of the active virus but the consequences of the virus - the horse has bolted scenario.

Antivirals best in circumstances where virus is active and person starting to get symptoms but not yet sick - Eg Tamiflu for influenza and also Zovirax for cold sores/shingles/chickenpox

Oh good let’s all destroy another perfectly good vaccine 🤪

Lets be fair, the vaccine peddler should had to be open and honest with side effects, not downplay them to the gutter, and not try to fool international experts. Those countries, like Israel, have a different set of high quality numbers - and are shocked. The numbers are teeny, and we know lots of children have teeny minor diagnosed heart abnormalities., probably thinner walls, less fatty. Risks aside, I would approve, but with Mr Campbell's promoted drawback to ensure no accidental IV leakage when giving the IM . Or stab em in the gluteus maximus . Problem solved.

I know nurses in the childrens hospital always used the gm for target practice in the 1960's and 70's.

Well ABC reports "Australia's drug regulator says there have been no confirmed cases of heart inflammation linked to the Moderna vaccine, after almost 200,000 injections. "

In a statement, the Therapeutic Goods Administration said it was aware of the study but would not be changing its advice, noting the European Medicines Agency was also recommending Moderna be given to anyone older than 12.

ACT on track to 95%. Ku ring gai and most expensive harbourfront estate also hitting 90% plus. It may be politically incorrect, but if you can run run ads saying buckle up- don't be an idiot, surely we can do it for the jab. I see Sydney's rate dropping, while other states are in stroll out mode.

I also suggest Westfield shopping centres should place signs like 'Vaccinated people will have parking priority in December. Get vaccinated now - ' something like that. My observation last Christmas was there was no real social distancing in the mall itself.

I don’t think you’d call VIC in stroll out mode, especially given they were handicapped by shortages too. They are flying. I’ll accept that label for SA, QLD, WA, NT and Tas though for sure.

Sydney airwaves (radio and FTA tv) are simply flooded with vaccination adverts over the last month from many many sources.

I've had need to watch some catch up on Nine Now app (where you cant skip ads) and every second advert is for getting the jab - this week alone I've seen ads from: Feds, NSW Government, Channel 9, Construction Union, Pubs/Hoteliers Association, Tourism NSW, Celebrity Chefs (Matt Moran & Co) and others, all pushing the positive opening up benefits for the vaccinated.

Its actually at saturation point right now, if your anywhere that advertising is.

Rhetorical question: Could it be anything to do with failure to aspirate when vaccinating:

Accidental IV injection is due to presence of veins. Lots of veins in all muscles - including gluteus maximus.

Rhetorical question: Could it be anything to do with failure to aspirate when vaccinating
Even with aspirating the needle, inadvertent IV injection can still occur. This is because veins are low pressure soft vessels. Aspirating (= suction) back on a needle in a vein can cause it to collapse giving a false impression that the needle is not in a vein

Does IV injection increase the side effects you say?. Impossible to know unless you decide to do a study to compare IV with IM

Our problem is in Victoria where we have to stand down a staff member who won’t get jabbed by October 15th as required by the Victorian Government. It is with our lawyer at the moment.

In our extended business (not our office where we are all done) we are losing an admin support staff which quite honestly we are happy to lose. Our manager in that facility was quite funny when we talked about it ‘Funny how the anti vaxxers turn out to be the ones you are least worried about losing!’.

Our DC has a couple holding out but I suspect they will flip as they realise they won’t be able to work anywhere at all… 😂

Well @jakeseven7 it is our peak trading time so that is a problem.
Life isn’t a dress rehearsal comes to my mind.
We need everyone vaccinated.

You should see some retailer DC’s….they are in full on panic mode… Some nice little anti vax pockets are being rooted out there too.

A good demonstration of the need to look closely at medical study results. This is a study recently published in a respectable journal the NEJM.
Nonetheless, the researchers pointed out that “although the protection against asymptomatic infection diminished more quickly than that against symptomatic infection, as would be expected in a vaccine that prevents symptoms given infection, no evidence was found for an appreciable waning of protection against hospitalisation and death, which remained robust — generally at 90% or higher — for 6 months after the second dose.”

Now on a couple of occasions in the last 2 months I have posted the results of the hospitalisations of fully vaxxed patients in Los Angeles County. They began to rise sharply in July and it was noticed that it basically was in patients who had had their second dose 6 or more months previously. Why is it so?
Because 90% protection against hospitalisations of an increasing numbers of people becoming infected means even though the percentage remains the same the actual numbers of patients hospitalised will increase.

Unfortunately in the Twittersphere it’s hard to distill critical thinking in science to 140 characters….(or whatever). Bit like saying 100-pack years of smoking did not cause lung cancer in a study because they found it was actually due to nicotine stained fingers that were highest in the group of smokers 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

OK so now we all need to work out how we are going to politely say to some of our friends, I'm sorry but if you're not vaccinated I don't want to associate with you. You can make that call if it's work colleagues but not family and friends. Some tough discussions to be had.

Sorry, the whole vaccine mandate thing is worrisome

1) medical treatment has never been coerced
2) medical treatment is private and confidential
3) our interactions with other people has never been based solely on a person’s medical status.
4) there has never been a 100% vaccination rate anywhere in the world for any infection
5) you don’t need 100% vaccination to quell a virus
6) when politics injects into a pandemic, beware.

I agree that in certain scenarios, that may be justified - such as smoking in indoor public places, and childcare immunisations.

Remember that that the only thing keeping the ugly side of humanity at bay is one thin line. If people start reading the history of quarantines across history, the stories are rarely good.

I caution going down that route.
