Garuda returning to Perth in 2027

That sure would be good news. I see the post is from mid-June. I get that things in aviation move slowly but does anyone know; has any more info come out since then?

Good news! Finally a premium option to Bali?

I was slightly surprised to hear air asia has something like 35 flights a week between Perth and denpasar! so it seems there will be room for another carrier.
Transnusa also has around 17 weekly flights from Perth and Jetstar a fair whack as well. Citijet used to fly it after Garuda left it previously. Then stopped. Personally surprised if Garuda are to turn...would prefer them on a Jakarta run from Perth .

Garuda is well-known for route changes (see: the LHR fiasco), so it's fingers crossed until we get something more.

They previously ran a A330 between PER and DPS. Would be fantastic if that returned!
Yeah not so sure what Garuda offer in terms of better on the route on a 737. Suppose can depend on.price but perhaps onward connections can.bs beneficial but many ex PER take a cheapy to somewhere in Asia then onwards in biz with airline of choice at much reduced cost.

Full service airline and better recent safety record than Lion Air group airlines. Also, being part of SkyTeam is beneficial if you have status there. Finally, can use Amex MR points via VS for redemptions.

Yeah depends on the value in "full service though". Certainly get skyteam thing if that is your choice....not mine for sure ..one world or star maybe though. 😕
