Garuda returning to Perth in 2027

The Indonesian Embassy has posted that Garuda is "preparing to launch a regular Perth-Denpasar route in 2027." Perth flyers will be very, very happy about this news if it comes to be. I would assume it would be on a 737-800.

Good news! Finally a premium option to Bali?

I was slightly surprised to hear air asia has something like 35 flights a week between Perth and denpasar! so it seems there will be room for another carrier.

Transnusa also has around 17 weekly flights from Perth and Jetstar a fair whack as well. Citijet used to fly it after Garuda left it previously. Then stopped. Personally surprised if Garuda are to turn...would prefer them on a Jakarta run from Perth .

Garuda is well-known for route changes (see: the LHR fiasco), so it's fingers crossed until we get something more.
