It's easy to invite friends and colleagues to join SPG®. Just fill in your member information, add your friends' and colleagues' email addresses and submit by February 28, 2010. We'll send a message to each of your referrals, and you'll be on your way to earning bonus Starpoints®. You'll receive 1,000 Starpoints for each friend who stays at least once by March 31, 2010, and each friend will earn 1,000 bonus Starpoints per night through March 31, 2010, and enjoy elite Gold status through February 2011.
Note: This offer is for new members only, and automatic Gold status requires the referral of a current SPG Platinum member. Existing SPG members, past members whose accounts have expired and friends or colleagues who have opted out of SPG email communications are ineligible.

Damn, too quick to post, after entering an email, it says I am not eligible (targetted). Hopefully another FF Starwood Plat is targetted and can benefit from this, plus give out a few Gold memberships...sorry

D'oh, not eligible either (I'm Plat). Thanks for the link though. I wonder if it's worth writing to them and requesting eligibility? I might try that.

That would have been excellent, as quite a few colleagues have upcoming stays and I'm pretty sure some of them aren't SPG members.

Cheers,
- Febs.

Im interested in a referral to this if there is any platinums who would like to help me out! let me know and ill give my email address

If you are SPG Plat here is the link
Starwood Preferred Guest | Refer

Similar promo if you are gold
Starwood Preferred Guest | Refer

You won't know if you are eligible until you click the "send emails" button.

No luck for me but maybe someone else can benefit...or hopefully the aussie invites are not loaded yet.

I found they ran out of decent hotels here but that was a few years ago now. How do you current members find the scheme and benefits?

I am Royal Amb with IHG - good benefits however limted hotel choices.

Cheers

Ok I just entered my details (I am PLT) and unfortunately am not eligible for this promo. Could it be that I have not yet requal for PLT (and it currently is set to expire 28 Feb 2010)?

Anyway, I have a few more stays to in the next 3-4 weeks which ensures I will requal again .. so I might try the link again in mid-Dec.

I'm happy to give it a go, if anyone wishes to PM me their e-mail addresses.

I presume we don't find out about eligibility until you attempt to register the e-mail addresses?!?

Could be my last meaningful contribution as an SPG platinum, prior to the tumble to gold.:(
