Flybuys Weekly Coles Catelogue Promotions

I got my paper copy of the Coles catalogue today. I was able to read in the small print that the double flybuys points for the fresh meat in the catalogue last for two weeks. The promotion end date is Tuesday April 24.

I tried reading the coles catalogue (VIC) online tonight but still had trouble reading the fine print. There was a note at the bottom of page 2 regarding points in a promotion taking up to 4 weeks to post on your account but I couldn't find details of any bonus points promotion. The only flybuys promotion I could find was a competition that required you to buy specific products and swipe your flybuys card to go in a draw for Olympics tickets.

If anyone can find bonus point offers in their catalogue please let me know. It is possible I have missed something.

I am sure I read something somewhere in the last few days which suggested that Coles would have lots of products with bonus flybuys points attached this week. I've been reading so much though about the changes to the program I can't recall exactly where I read it or what it said.

I found the below offer on the Flybuys bonus points page (link a couple of posts above)

COLES BAKE AT HOME DINNER ROLLS 6 PK
Earn 50 bonus FlyBuys bonus points when you purchase Coles Bake at Home Dinner Rolls 6 pack. Offer valid at Coles, Bi-Lo, Pick n Pay & Coles on-line (excludes Coles Express).
From: April 25, 2012 to May 1, 2012

I buy these from time to time and yesterday just happened to be the day I needed some. I needed more than 6 rolls however. They weren't on special. The 6 pack cost $2.50 in my local store and the 12 pack was $3.00. It wasn't worth buying 2 of the 6 packs to get 100 bonus points. It was cheaper for me to get the 12 pack with no bonus points.

Be careful when you see the in-store bonus points offers on products. Make sure that the pack size is right for you and is still the best value for money.

On post number 25 of this thread there is a link to the flybuys bonus boost page which lists the current bonus points offers from various flybuys partners. Today when I used the link I got redirected to another page on the flybuys website. Is anyone else having this problem? This link was the only way I was able to get to the bonus offer page. I could never find the equivalent page by going to the main site and following menus.

Yep, the bonus points link is down. Quite a poor rollout of their revamped flybuys programs.

There's an unusual offer in this weeks coles catalogue starting 17/10/12. I don't think it's very good value but it might be useful for small purchases. I am assuming this promotion is for coles only.

The offer is on page 21 and offers 50 bonus points for using EFTPOS (sav or chq) and getting cash out. (and scanning the flybuys card of course). The offer runs from 17/10 to6/11/12. You can only get a maximum of 2000 points. I assume this is per account but it doesn't actually say this. If there was only 2000 points between everyone then they would be gone in a day.

I usually use AMEX or discounted Coles gift cards when I go to Coles. If I use EFTPOS and cash out then I won't get any AMEX points. I value my AMEX points slightly differently to most people on this forum so the following calculations are for my case only. I've worked out that if I spend less than $22 in a transaction (which I do sometimes) then I'll make more value in the flybuys bonus points than the lost AMEX points. I have no idea whether this promotion is worthwhile for anyone else but I thought I'd include it anyway just in case it helps.

My prediction is that this weekend my partner and I will each get triple points offers. I did a big shop at coles last week so this weeks shop will only be small. I'll probably split the shopping trip into two small transactions and use eftpos and get cash out on both transactions. I could probably do a lot more transactions but I don't think the checkout operator will put up with more than two without questioning what I am doing.

Some coles have self serve but I don't know if you can do cash out at these terminals. This could be one way doing multiple transactions without staff complaining.

I am so pleased that you posted this. I could never find that page through the normal web site either. I thought I was stupid. :)

yes you can.
And I have found the current special $1 tins of tuna to be just the go for a scan and a $20 cash out for a total of $21.
And, bing, 50 bonus points and a can of tuna for $1
Saves me buying lunch and possibly ATM fees

I did do a few trips through the scanner with the current dog-treat special for 100 points a go. But after reflection on your post above about credit card points I figure the smaller the purchase the better. And save anything more expensive for a bigger shop and credit card points. Plus in the current offer climate there may be some kicker FB points needing higher spends

I intend to get the, is it 2000 points, maximum for the 3 FB cards in the family

Suddenly the more interesting game is with Coles. Sorry WW, it was fun while it lasted

(and for anyone wondering...yes I DO have better things to do)
