Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Very true, however Flybuys is winning hands down with the bonus points offers at Coles, Liqourland and First Choice.

Earn 500 BONUS POINTS when you spend over $50^ at Coles between Friday 18 May 2012 and Sunday 20 May 2012. Simply swipe your card every time you shop over these three days and for each transaction over $50 you'll earn 500 BONUS POINTS, plus your standard 1 point per $1 spent.

Now that' S a very interesting bonus offer? Is it a general offer or targeted?

Targeted. Would be more interesting if the bonus point offers at Coles were also on sale. Out of bonus point offers, only is on sale. So in theory I could buy 46 cans of Golden Circle Kernels Corn Kernels for $1.10 and get 2300 bonus points, plus another 500 bonus points plus 50 standard points for grand total of 2850 points. In theory this could repeated a number of times. However I don;t think I need that much corn. However it always could get donated!

I'd love to get the offer of receive 500 bonus points for only $50 spending. I'd probably use it twice during the offer period being very careful to spend just over $50 in each transaction. To me this represents a 11x points offer, provided I keep to this $50 strategy. It would be 550 points for each transaction.

I usually get Flybuys offers every second week so nothing for me this week. I'll probably keep my Coles spending low this weekend in the hopes that I get a good offer next week.

My offer every two weeks pattern continues with Flybuys. Today I got a triple points offer from Friday to Sunday. I have a tell coles $5 voucher which expires on Sunday so I will use this on my 100+ purchase.

Rainbowgirl, you obviously have shares in westfarmers, or should have. I too like flu buys over woollies at the moment

I received two offers from Flybuys today. The first was triple points at Liquorland from Friday to Sunday.

The second offer was 250 points for spending over $100 (after all other discounts have been applied) from Friday to Sunday. The offer can be used multiple times during the promotion but I've only got enough shopping requirements this week for one purchase over $100. My aim is to spend just enough to get me over the $100 mark allowing for the my5 discount and my $5 tell coles voucher.

I frequently get triple points offers every second week. This offer gives me a minimum total of 350 points. Provided I stick to my just over $100 total this offer works out to be slightly better than the triple points deal I usually get. The triple points deal would have only given me a total of 300 points for the same purchase.

And in reply to drross, no I don't have shares in Wesfarmers, nor do I plan to.

Last week I had the spend $50 and get 500 bonus points-good timing as in Tassie.
This week it is 500 bonus points for spending $70 and triple points at Liquorland.

I have been ignoring the Flybuys offers received, infact I haven't shopped Coles since the new scheme started. I have been getting good EDR offers. Anyway received an offer this morning for 500 points if I spend $50. If I'm near a Coles I might use the offer this time.

I thought I had Flybuys figured out with their timing of offers. Usually I get one every second week and when I do I stock up. I got a good offer last week and spent just over $100. I am only planning on spending about $20 this weekend at Coles. Don't think I'll take up the offer they sent me today for a 14 cent fuel voucher if I spend $120 or more. The fuel vouchers start at 10 cents a litre for $100 spend.

I'm wondering now whether that will mean that I won't get an offer next week or does it mean I will get a better offer next week because I didn't take them up on this offer.

I haven't taken up a single offer and I still get tthem regularly...

I haven't shopped in Coles since the new Flybyuys was launched and I still receive weekly offers. This week it was a fuel offer 12c off for $50 spend.

it appears that if you shop regularly the offers are definitely set at a higher hurdle ... 12c for $50 is a great starting point

I got the 12c offer but my spend was $80. I haven't chased one of these offers for least 2 months and they keep going up.

I'd like to see Coles and Woolies work out that I've never redeemed a fuel voucher, so why can't they tailor their offers to things I actually purchase???

Has anyone done a calculation on the annual ( average) cost saving of 4cents a litre off?

Has anyone done a calculation on the annual ( average) cost saving of 4cents a litre off?

well, I put in about 45 litres every fortnight. So 45x26=1170 Litres. 1170x0.04=46.80 in savings
Which is why I choose points on EDR instead of fuel savings as it works out to be 2340 points for less than $50

Of course, these are just rough figures.
