Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

I have pretty much given up on fly buys

I get better value from FB. I usually doa couple of shops a week as I don't have a car so I tend to buy some groveries on the way home. Nothing worse than being loaded up on a crowded train.

Quite often I only spend $25-30 each time i get my groceries. With EDR I get nothing. At least with FB I get points on each $, plus having bought the house insurance from them I get 2 points per $, and having just signed up with AGL (before I knew they were teaming up with FB) so my gas and electricity gets me some points as well.

EDR is probably better for a family as 1 QFF point has a lot more value than 1 FB point, but if you're not earning any points, or at best 5 points a shop, then FB is going to work out better for a single person.

I get that. Ironically I shop often as well. Rarely making it worth my (QFF) while. I just like to buy fresh. So still use Coles for those small buys

500 points for spending $100 or more per transaction at Coles this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I'm still waiting for the 250 and the 500 bonus points to post from the last two targeted offers.
500 for $80 spend this weekend, and 3x at Liquorland (not that I ever spend there as I don't drink).

As for the time to credit; can be 4-6wks for bonus points especially the docket deals. Most of those docket deals and some other promotions aren't checked for required spend/product until EOM.

Flybuys are trying to push some of the new down down products. I got a targeted offer for bonus points on specific new down down products which can only be earnt once. I can even get 5 points for playing a video of their new tv add. Luckily one of the products is something I purchase from time to time and the down down price is cheaper than the woolworths equivalent product.

Looks like I will definitely shopping at Coles this week.

That looks like a reasonable offer whatmeworry.

The one I got was spend $100 for 12 cents voucher, $110 for 14 cents and $120 for $16 cents.

I'll be taking up the offer but I don't know exactly how much I will spend. It will be a nice stacking offers shopping trip. I'll get triple points from a statement offer, 200 points from one product in the down down offer, $5 off from Tell coles vocuher plus one of the petrol vouchers.

Warning to anyone trying to collect the fuel offer this weekend. I just did a shop at Coles and the 14c voucher did not show up. Rang Flybuys and they said it was an error in the system and I had to wait till Wednesday and then do a shop of any amount to collect the voucher! Flybuys Fail! I need the voucher now before petrol prices go up in Melbourne! Not Happy!

Plus that My5 is utterly useless! You can only use a maximum of 5 items in a day. Flybuys = useless!

I was just about to report the Flybuys problem here, you just beat me to it. You explained the resolution very well. I spent 5-10 minutes on the phone to Flybuys working this out and asking them to chase up some missing bonus points from 5 weeks ago. Their advice on the bons points was to wait another week. This is ridiculous and has happened to me at least three times since the relaunch.

I managed to spend $120.05, which was 5 cents over the amount I needed for my 16 cent voucher. I was not impressed when it didn't appear. I'd worked very hard to spend just the right amount to get the maximum value. I was so upset I ended up missing a scanning error on the docket and had to go back later in the day to get my money back. This wasn't easy when I had to bring the children back as well.

The my5 is confusing and easy to misunderstand. You can get 5 items from each of the product groups each day, thereby making it possible to get the discount on 25 items in one shopping trip. The only time it doesn't work well is when one of the my5 products are on super special and you have to make multiple trips to coles during the week of over $50 in order to stock up on the product you want.

I guess they fixed the problem overnight for the customers who hadn't redeemed the offer already. I heard one other report of the discount working sucessfully today. I just hope mine works next Wednesday otherwise I'll have to call Flybuys again.

I got the same offer, but the spend was $10 lower for each category. Didn't bother to take it up though as my EDR points offer was better, and we live right next to the woolies petrol station...

Got this today. Still not impressed.

17 Jul 2012

Hi Whatmeworry

On Friday 13 July 2012, flybuys and Coles issued a discounted fuel offer to you via email. Unfortunately, due to a technical issue, the offer didn't activate while you were shopping in our store on Friday and you didn't receive the fuel offer.

This error has been rectified, here's what you need to do to receive your fuel discount

Your missing fuel voucher has been applied to your flybuys membership, the first person in your household to make any purchase at any Coles Supermarket from Tuesday 17 July 2012 and present their flybuys card will receive this voucher, excludes purchases on gift cards, tobacco and tobacco related products.

If you qualify for multiple fuel vouchers, you will receive one per transaction. There's a limit of one fuel discount per fuel purchase, so keep them in a safe place to use next time you fill your tank.

Once again, we apologise for any inconvenience caused to you.

Yours sincerely,

I'm not sure whether I'm going to take up this weeks Flybuys targeted offer. They want me to spend $100 between tomorrow and sunday at Coles to get $5 towards the gold giftcard promotion. If I qualify I won't actually get the $5 until October with all the other gift card value I have been slowly building up. After last weeks $120 spend to get a 16 cent fuel voucher, I really don't know whether I can justify stocking up again. I only just got the 16 cent voucher today after having to make an extra trip to coles after my Woolworths shopping. I'll see if anything turns up tomorrow that I can stack with todays offer.

I don't know whether I have to spend $100 across one transaction or multiple transactions and I can't be bothered ringing up to find out. If anyone can find any fine print or rings the contact number to find out would you please let me know.

Mine is $50 for a $5 gift card. I assume it is for total spends for over the weekend period. so you don't have to do it in one spend.

After the petrol docket fiasco, I will not be taking up the offer. They should have compensated everybody.

Compensation to make up for their error would have been good. We did everything correct and had to wait too long to get what they offered. The apology email was a good gesture but I think we deserved more after the efforts we went to. I'm tempted not to take up the offer.

I had to fuel up last weekend and because I didn't get the voucher in time and it was a massive inconvenience. I got the voucher today with a dollar spend. However I hope I can time my next petrol run with the next low point in the Melbourne Petrol Cycle.
I was reading oil analysts saying the petrol price low point will rise in the next few weeks. Not happy when I heard that!

flybuys tried to sweeten the deal for the weekend by offering triple points on all coles purchases(on top of the $5 offer above). I'm still thinking about it. They finally credited my 250 bonus points from nearly 6 weeks ago but the next 500 is almost up to 4 weeks. If they meet their 4 week target then the points will be credited by next Monday but I doubt it.
