Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

$170 for 10k / $220 for 20k

Both pretty unachievable, especially when I've totally given up on buying meat from the supermarkets.

Just finished 2 spend $60 for four weeks for 10k and just received 4 x $70 for 10k points pop up so I'll do that and then give Coles a rest for a while

Just got 10,000 points for 4 x $50 on one account.

Nothing in the second account.

newbie q!

Can a transaction be used for 2 promo's? I had 2000 for $70 expiring today and also have the 4 weeks x$60 commencing today. Will my $72 tranaaction count for both or do I need another $60 shop this week?
Yes, but do note that going over the 4 week target amount like that will increase your 4 week target next time.

Does anyone know if paying with flybuys points are considered a discount or a form of payment?

eg, if my target is $70 and I take $10 off my total using flybuys points, do I then need an $80 shopping total to trigger the 'spend $70' bonus points, if the flybuys points are treated as a discount instead of a form of payment?

Using points to pay for shopping is a criminal offence on this AFF forum.

I do my qualifying shop each week and reach about 50 cents over the required minimum. I often then redeem points as part payment. The system takes the shopping total as the qualifying amount and not the amount actually paid. I have always qualified with the required minimum spend, a redemption of points and a lesser sum actually paid in cash/card.

You could do far worse (toasters!) and YMMV of course, but based on my own circumstances I have been happy to use points for shopping when I've needed a cash flow boost, especially in secondary programs where I'm unlikely to save up enough points for a business class redemption.

For years, we’ve taken the cash option from time to time. It’s actually not a bad use (certainly compared to toasters). I’ve actually never transferred any to VA (although I do get the token SCs).

Yes, I could transfer them to VA to sit and rot with the substantial stash I already have left over but struggle to use.

We both take the QF points from Woolies as they’re more useful to us.
