My sister just told me she got a 4 week $130 spend for 20,000 points. Given her normal spend is $150+ she is happy to take up and get $100 discount.
 
And just after posting that I preferred EDR came my offer of a $50 spend for 4 weeks for 10000 points plus an extra 1000 points per week if $10 of that was on Coles branded products.
This one we can do.

I wonder if I should bother with this offer (representing a 12.5% cash-back) or wait it out for a lower offer. In fairness, though I suspect I could probably spend $100/week on groceries at Coles, although the concern then is that they raise it up to $130 or $160 or some other god awful amount for minuscule points.

Thoughts?

I assume you have more than one FB card. This allows you to rest cards when the offers are too high until they reach an amenable level.
 
My experience is actually quite different. Woolies often has the more lucrative offers (e.g. earn 6000 points by spending $30 in week 1, $40 in week 2 and $50 in week 3 meanwhile all the Coles offers for a couple thousand points expect me to spend over a hundred for several weeks). I will agree that Woolies is easier to chase down for points although FlyBuys does have an email address you can use if you just want to jot off a quick message about missing points and aren't in a rush for points to appear in your account. In terms of Coles vs Woolies, Coles tends to have a better selection of ready made food (e.g. "fresh" pizzas and Youfoodz selection). However, for me the clincher is the free home delivery from Woolies which I get since I'm in a high risk group.

Re: the email address, I've used it many times and it is painful. They take so long to get back to you, ask for extra details that have already been provided and just drag it out. If you persist they are generally pretty good. but I'm hoping @flybuys can confirm or otherwise my suspicions that it is a strategy to ask further questions on the hope people will give up. The direct call help is not an option for the majority and the email experience is deplorable.

4 accounts got offers. One had $120 * 4 for 10k points but if upped to $170 is 20k points. Other 3 were all $50 * 4 for 10k points.
 
Does seem that the higher spenders don't get rewarded as they generally recurve the standard 10k for their level of spending.

I realise it's all about getting the consumer to spend whatever amount their data says at Coles, just the usual happening of they loyal don't get rewarded.

I agree but most consumers are not reading AFF or OZB so are likely to be unaware how less generous their individual offers are compared to others.

But then the contents of the shelves is starting to dwindle...... As well as the in store discounted items.

Finally got my old regular spend $50 at first choice liquor for 2000 FB's offer.

Nice 20% return.
Did couple other bottle O's recently so maybe that worked.
 
Lately I've noticed a strange phenomenon happening. On one account, it keeps getting 2,000 bonus points on $x spend in one transaction within a three or four day period, and not those spend $x each week for four weeks ones, yet another account has been getting those weekly ones as well as the 2,000 points... Hmmm... think one account is getting a raw deal.

Not sure if targeted or not.

$2 off any 4/6/8 pack of beers in-store at Liquorland.

However, I've just been and bought 2 4-packs, so should've got $4 off. Nothing came up on the till and they guy had no idea. It's only $4, but if offers aren't working, that's an issue @flybuys.

Also realised after I got home and opened a beer that the in-store promo wasn't applied either. ($1 off each pack if buying 2 or more 4/6/8 packs).

So that's an all round failure.

Edit: no requirement to activate offer on this one.

Spent $50 yesterday regardless, but no points yet. Will be interesting to see if they show.

You might want to keep a watch on this, I just finished the same ofer. Got a reminder each week via email, offer status was printed onthe docket each time and 10,000 points after the final spend posted within 1 day.
