I've come across a problem with one of the coupons sent to me. I am wondering whether all the coupons that have this offer are wrong or whether it is just my coupon.
I have a coupon for Coles Express with the following offer, "Triple points when you buy any fuel at Shell Coles Express. You'll get triple points every time you buy fuel and scan this coupon. This is a multi-use coupon."
Unfortunately the instructions on the back to the Coles Express staff contradict the information on the front of the coupon. The last instruction to the Team Member says, "Destroy Coupon".
Further down the back of the coupon there in the terms and conditions it says, "Coupon may be redeemed multiple times over the offer period." Unfortunately I couldn't find this small print when I used the coupon today. I had a long discussion with the staff member who wanted to take the coupon and only gave it back reluctantly. He didn't believe there had been a misprint with the Team Member instructions. I am hoping he doesn't go back and alter the transaction later, removing the flybuys details.
It will be hard to track if the receipt details get altered. It is extremely difficult to reconcile Coles Express bonus points. They come up as Adjustments without a reference date on them . They also post in the wrong order sometimes and I think they've posted for the wrong amount as well.
Next time I use the coupon I will point out the tiny terms and conditions on the back and the front of the coupon. I hope I don't have this problem for the next month.
