Ok, is it wrong that I am getting so much FB points from doing the normal things of life, like buying groceries, phone recharges, cleaning items, cleaning chems etc, and making oodles of FB points, and therefor oodles of VFF points.
Since the tie in, I have gotten at least 20,000 FB points, between 3 people with 3 FB linked in the same family accounts, very quickly, and by not stepping into a WW store in a very long time.
(((Spend $60 or more in one transaction, spend $70 or more in one transaction, you might say I impulse buy, but I buy the things I need anyways)...)))
But still, I feel so bad for FB and VFF that I am getting all these points, ...
Cripes, unless of course, FB and VFF are making money from me in ways I don't even know.
I do apologise as no one gains from this diatribe, but I just had to say it.
Covertly, probably Coles and VFF do make money from me.

It's great!!Have only joined flybuys in the past 12 months but have earned around 40,000 without going to too much trouble

:D lol nice post.... and congrats on the point accumulation... That said 20k FB points, after converted to VFF doesn't go an awful long way :/

My biggest points earning (far exceeding FB and all others) comes from velocity linked credit cards! Including sign-on bonuses, just normal daily spending and catching flights (which I would have caught anyway) I've racked up just over 410,000 VFF points in just under a year... The credit card goes a long way to achieving that! Just make sure you put everything you can on it and then just pay it off end of month (instead of using a debit/savings card). Follow same money management you would with a normal savings card and don't spend more than you can afford and you'll soon get up there also!

Just tallied it up, I've earnt about 115,000 fb points since the the start of this year. Been moving most of mine out to Etihad. 70,000 of those flybuys points got a return J class VA flight SYD-CNS, points I was able to earn for under $200 - got offered 750pts per item for an item that cost $2.40 to buy. I ended up selling the items on ebay to recoup even more money

I'm sure Coles is still making money out of me somehow - at least I hope so, as I want this points train to continue!

Have no fear. Flybuys/Coles have even been advertising on how to double/triple dip to get more points.

Tomasp, yes, its only 870 after the transfer 2,000 FB transferred, but if you can get a flight for say, $99, and you have got 4411 VFF points, you can already use up those 4411 points in points plus pay, to reduce the $99 down even further.
Guess every grocery cent that's not going to WW/Foodland IGA, but going to Coles instead must work in their favour.
The FB tear off frenzy trifold voucher have come, so many get triple points on your largest spend, or 500 for $60 spent, plus email offers, plus, plus, plus...
Cripes.
Can you see how I make so many FB points now?
This is as sweet as e-rewards!

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

And it's not just the dollars you spend, it is the data that they collect regarding your spending habits etc. Put that together with all of the data they get from everyone else and they have some pretty valuable information for further general/target marketing and merchandising.

As they say "Data is the new gold".

Getting one of those NAB cards with no 1st year fee and converting all the sign on bonus points to VFF points seemed far easier. I actually don't convert my FB points, just use them to get discounts. Unless using for business class seats, not a good earn rate - not interested in business seats for domestic.

While I am all for increasing my points balance, I have elected to not earn them in return for not handing over all of my purchasing data, spending patterns etc to Coles and its partners.
