Does anyone know what flight path Singapore Air takes flying from CDG to Brisbane please?
We have a very nervous friend who is worried about the Middle East and Russia/Ukraine conflicts.
Thanks.

Thank you. Do you know if they fly over the Middle East?

Check the link, it shows yesterday's actual flight path ;)

Yes, they do obviously fly over the Middle East. It's the only way to get from Europe to Asia without overflying Russia.

I personally wouldn't be concerned at all, they don't fly where it's known to be dangerous.

If you follow the flight paths over a longer period of time, you see that airlines, in general, are quick to switch to alternate flight paths if the ground below becomes a conflict zone. In addition, countries themselves may close their airspace, as well, to keep the skies clear for defense / military purposes.

Especially after MH17 in 2014, most the airlines have been very averse to flying over potential risk areas. Singapore Air would be one of those who rather play it safe. Lucky, the passage over Eastern Europe, Caucasus and the "Stan" countries remains safe and you see most airlines using that path these days to Europe.

For what it's worth, apparently both Singair and Emirates were nearby when the shootdown happened. It was just luck of the draw who they actually fired at.

Fairly sure there was an AI flight in close proximity as well
