I believe there needs to be a new forum to cover this award programme. RewardPass www.rewardpass.com.au allows members to transfer in points from various cards and airline FF and affiliate programs.

They have on their list:
  • Diners www.dinersclub.com.au
    Some ANZ credit Cards
Some CBA credit Cards- Coming May(?)
Some WestPac credit Cards - Coming June(?)
Tangible Solutions www.tangible-solutions.com.au offer 1 point for every $ on Phone, mobile, internet bill with double points if Direct debit - could be triple if paid with eligible card?

I have my hesitations with RewardPass.

Signed up originally. Booked some flights online with FlightCentre but saw no where to put in my details.

So off I email the RewardPass help desk for an answer over whether online purchases were valid.

No answer back.

Ended up ditching purchasing flights through Flight Centre completely and moving off to another couple of websites.

I'll either let my Rewardpass membership lapse, or not delete it when I get a chance.

I've used it for a couple of flights (M-i-L's QF/BA BNE/SIN/LHR/SIN/BNE as well as some of my internet flights purchases), so I've got a balance..no troubles like Mal though, mine worked.

Well I'm about to join Reward Pass and I noticed that there was a "Referring Number" option on the details page.

If anyone wants me to put their referral number on the site (don't know what it give you) I'll do it.

Also, what is the promotion code for? I thought this thing was for free?

Regards
Daniel

RewardPass Free?

I think the promo code is used for tracking where they get their members from (banks, adverts, etc). I suppose some companies give extra points if you sign up through them.

Dear Mal,
we here at the Flight Centre RewardPass team value all feedback. We are disappointed to hear that you did not have a positive RewardPass experience.

We will certainly address the problems that you experienced with our Member Service Centre.

Kind regards,

Wow, that's impressive, and quick off the mark.

Looking forward to the QFF Reward team also posting prompt replies on the site to "address the problems that you experienced with" QF.

Well, maybe not.

Mal,

Pretty cool they answered. Guess they must monitor the site. I know that the reward pass thing works becuase they offered to let me use points instead of $ on last booking when I was in a FC ticket office.

Only saw this post tonight...

I am impressed that RewardsPass answered and happy that the issue I mentioned will be looked at to improve future experiences.

As posted in my earlier post, I never received a reply to my feedback. This was soon after the scheme was formed in January this year so there may have been teething problems at that stage. I didn't follow it up again which probably would have given me the reply I was looking for.

I believe the $ figure was around 3000 for a few J flights. Not a huge figure in the scheme of things, so I'm not really worried about it and have no real plans to follow it up.

I hope the RewardsPass venture is a successful one for both the Flight Centre Group and also those who partake in it.

I was talking to my husband about this the other night.

For 72k QFF points we can get return to Hamilton Island for the 3 of us and then we still need to pay taxes and surcharges, but if I got a Flight Centre voucher through CBA Platinum Rewards it was 74.5k points and no taxes to pay and with approx $50 towards accomodation. Obvioously this is taking advantage of cheap deathstar flights.

Now the redemption on Rewardpass is not quite as good as getting the voucher as a direct reward from CBA as a value for points its not very good, but if the aim is to get something for nothing then its got a lot more merit in the domestic market than using QFF points IMO.

He went to the states on a trip recently and his neice who works for flight centre booked it and joined him up. He's got about $116 that he can spend, plus he got all his QF points and status credited. Thats $116 that we can use that we wouldn't have had had he not joined. I think its an OK scheme - we are let to redeem any yet, so I'll ket you know when we
have.

Hmmm, I've got RewardPass points but nothing to spend them on...my travel spend through my FC has nose-dived this year as I realise I have better resources than them at my disposal.... 8)

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I joined but since then have not used FC (for various reasons).

Has their service gotten better?
