PLEASE INCLUDE DATE, FLIGHT NUMBER, ORIGIN & DESTINATION IN ALL REQUESTS
>>>> ADDED BY ADMIN (6 Sept 2010) <<<<

Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions about seat availability on specific flights. These are all valid questions and we all appreciate the efforts our members go to to provide answers.

The only drawback is that our forums can become "cluttered" with specific questions about availability on specific flights. This tends to reduce the overall usability of our site.
We have therefore created this new consolidated thread where you can ask questions about seat availability on specific flights. Hopefully, this will reduce clutter and improve useability.

Guidelines for posting in this thread
Please post questions about availability of specific flights or upgrade probability in this new consolidated thread. Be sure to include the airline, flight number, date, origin and destination and any other relevant detail.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Thanks!

For Questions about Aircraft Configuration and Seat Availability, please use this thread:

See this thread for hints on how to read loadings:

If looking for, say Qantas points upgrades, look for A class for First, mid to high D or any I class for Business and any R for Premium Economy.

Look for the most expensive category of the cabin YOU are currently booked in as being sold out e.g. J0 to first, W0 to Business & Y0 to PE for increased op-up chances. Also, look for availability on the discount premium buckets (A, P, I, D, U, T & Z inventories).

Conversely, look for high numbers in the discount economy buckets (N, O, Q, E & X inventories) for reduced op-up chances.

Seat maps can be a VERY rough guide but note that just because a seat is not showing as allocated does not mean that seat hasn't been sold. Not everyone pre-selects seats.

Original thread title: update on QF93 on 12 sept

Appreciate it if someone could check EP for loadings.

J on those flights is usually pretty full although the numbers above suggest otherwise. Let us know how you go. Hopefully a nice surprise.

I suspect in 10-12 days time, for the first sector (QF 63), you'll have a fair idea if the upgrade will come through.
6 J seats is a bit hard to call at this point in time, as Qantas may actually sell some J seats between now and then.
But crossing my fingers for you as the Soft Product on this sector is quite superb, with Senior Flight Attendants that are generally very experienced and deliver a high level of service IME.

By the way, their is a thread for these sort of availability questions here already: http://www.australianfrequentflyer....pgrade-probability-25311-400.html#post1579124

I know, but try as I could I could not find out where to post anew question, I could get to sticky explaining link but not where I could post new question. So I put in questions with point saying I thought it was I wrong place. So if someone can point me how to post new question in correct place it would be great.

Just click on the link I gave, and then click on Reply under any previous entry, and it will open up a new Quick Reply window for you to put in your question.

No classic awards are showing for me as WP - as it is on CX, I doubt calling up to have one released would get you anywhere...

There is a QF J seat to BNE (or CX PE award seats on 2 flights) the day before visible to WP

Hi I can see the QF J as a NB but couldn't take advantage of that ( need to fly after 4th) . Guess I will wait for the cx seat to open up in qf website as I have no status so no chance . Thanks for your help ! Cheers

Have you looked at different routing options like DRW, SYD, MEL or maybe KUL, SIN - you never know
