PLEASE INCLUDE DATE, FLIGHT NUMBER, ORIGIN & DESTINATION IN ALL REQUESTS
>>>> ADDED BY ADMIN (6 Sept 2010) <<<<

Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions about seat availability on specific flights. These are all valid questions and we all appreciate the efforts our members go to to provide answers.

The only drawback is that our forums can become "cluttered" with specific questions about availability on specific flights. This tends to reduce the overall usability of our site.
We have therefore created this new consolidated thread where you can ask questions about seat availability on specific flights. Hopefully, this will reduce clutter and improve useability.

Guidelines for posting in this thread
Please post questions about availability of specific flights or upgrade probability in this new consolidated thread. Be sure to include the airline, flight number, date, origin and destination and any other relevant detail.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Thanks!

See this thread for hints on how to read loadings:

If looking for, say Qantas points upgrades, look for A class for First, mid to high D or any I class for Business and any R for Premium Economy.

Look for the most expensive category of the cabin YOU are currently booked in as being sold out e.g. J0 to first, W0 to Business & Y0 to PE for increased op-up chances. Also, look for availability on the discount premium buckets (A, P, I, D, U, T & Z inventories).

Conversely, look for high numbers in the discount economy buckets (N, O, Q, E & X inventories) for reduced op-up chances.

Seat maps can be a VERY rough guide but note that just because a seat is not showing as allocated does not mean that seat hasn't been sold. Not everyone pre-selects seats.

This is the loading for MEL-LHR: F8 A8 P0 J9 C9 D9 I9 U0 W9 R9 T9 Z0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O9 G0 X9 E9
Looks very promising! Not sure there is a point looking at individual segments in that case ( or am I missing something?)

Hi all
Pleased to report that when I went on line to check my Q account, I noticed that upgrade points had been deducted. Immediately went into booking and selected desired J seats for QF73 Syd to SFO 5 Oct. Original booking was classic awards booking in Y Points deduction probably occurred around T - 32hrs. No text or call but maybe this will come later.
Very happy. Thanks to those who provided flight loadings.
Cheers

Hi, could someone please check loading for QF62 NRT-BNE 10/10/16? I am a QC silver member going from reward Y.

Thanks!

So they will have a strong motivation to shift pax out of Y.
Unfortunately you may be down the list as you are on a reward Y booking - but this is new, and I don't know how they make these choices.

Wow full flight. Thank you for looking into it. I'll make sure to report back.

Don't like my chances, given that I'm silver as well.

Can someone be kind enough to check the inventory on flight: NF 65 (NOU-VLI) on Monday 21 November please?

Thank you in advance!

That's an unusual request. A short hop on an Air Vanuatu ATR75.

Looks like 7 unsold seats, 4 of which are available in discount fare buckets.

Thank you so much! Looking at a redemption using QF points - but unable to search the route on the QF website. Strangely enough, if I search NOU-NAN via VLI on NF/FJ, the flight appears!

I've done this flight using QF points. From memory you can only book VLI-NOU one way or return online.
You can't book NOU-VLI. Worth calling to see if they can do it for you.
Tried searching VLI-NOU return including your NOU-VLI sector to check availability?

Any chance of someone reporting on my chances of points upgrade
QF151 MEL to AKL Mon 10th Oct.

Thanks in advance

This flight is very undersubscribed. There are still classic business and economy awards available.
According to the seatmap Im getting, there are only 2 platinums on that flight and they are already in J.

Would an upgrade be worth it - you might find that you have no one seating next to you on that flight

Thank you....might check back in on Monday AM to see where we are at.
I did put in a request for an upgrade as the flight last month that i took was pretty full...

Thanks Again

It looks like every other QF flight on that route is heavily subscribed. Its possible that any overbooking refugees (if any) may therefore be dumped onto QF151.
