PLEASE INCLUDE DATE, FLIGHT NUMBER, ORIGIN & DESTINATION IN ALL REQUESTS
>>>> ADDED BY ADMIN (6 Sept 2010) <<<<

Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions about seat availability on specific flights. These are all valid questions and we all appreciate the efforts our members go to to provide answers.

The only drawback is that our forums can become "cluttered" with specific questions about availability on specific flights. This tends to reduce the overall usability of our site.
We have therefore created this new consolidated thread where you can ask questions about seat availability on specific flights. Hopefully, this will reduce clutter and improve useability.

Guidelines for posting in this thread
Please post questions about availability of specific flights or upgrade probability in this new consolidated thread. Be sure to include the airline, flight number, date, origin and destination and any other relevant detail.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Thanks!

See this thread for hints on how to read loadings:

If looking for, say Qantas points upgrades, look for A class for First, mid to high D or any I class for Business and any R for Premium Economy.

Look for the most expensive category of the cabin YOU are currently booked in as being sold out e.g. J0 to first, W0 to Business & Y0 to PE for increased op-up chances. Also, look for availability on the discount premium buckets (A, P, I, D, U, T & Z inventories).

Conversely, look for high numbers in the discount economy buckets (N, O, Q, E & X inventories) for reduced op-up chances.

Seat maps can be a VERY rough guide but note that just because a seat is not showing as allocated does not mean that seat hasn't been sold. Not everyone pre-selects seats.

Can someone please check the loads for the following Qantas flights please

17 March QF 15 BNE to LAX

28 March QF 16 LAX TO BNE

As it was part of that huge Qantas super sale  they can not be upgraded and I have managed to score the 2 seats down the back for both flights but just wanting to check if it is going to be a heavy load (I am expecting the one back from the USA might be but its first week of school holidays so assume most are on their way over not headed back).

TIA

Hello freinds!

Could some kind soul avail me of the loadings for QF81 SYD-SIN for this Sunday the 6th of March?

:)

A few seats left in Y, but J is all full.

It has been very busy these last few weekends travelling between SYD & SIN. Both QF81/82 and QF5/6 have been well sold or sold out in J, a lot. The 81 this Sunday is an internationally configured A332... most likely you'll have the misbehaving iPad mini for entertainment, sorry.

Looks like there is a lot of availability in all cabins but there is nothing available in the upgrade fare buckets at this stage.

Anyone able to check CX100 30th May. Thanks!

Could you please always provide the departure and destination airport as ExpertFlyer requires these.
I apologise for not being familiar with every flight number for every carrier.
I could research it but you already know, and you're asking us to do you a favour.

Apologies! Cathay cx100 from SYD-HKG on Monday 30th May. Thanks for anyone that can help

hey thanks for that. now my next question. upgrade requests … we are on separate booking ref numbers. Mrs BJ has bronze, I have WP. I understand if I request then we are in different parts of the upgrade allocation queue. even though we are linked, I am told by qantas, this will make no difference. it will also not matter if I go into her account and upgrade her as a family member.

thoughts on how to proceed? I guess I am left with asking at the airport?

Yes sadly lending your upgrade priority to family members is only a P1 benefit.
Surely you'd be better off both being in the queue albeit at different priority?
Although that would risk flying in different cabins.
I would take the risk but then I don't understand this phenomenon you call a "couple".

lol … maybe one day you will understand it. its not a big deal anyway, we are already travelling premium economy. i just have so many points to burn and never get a chance to use them.

i recall once I got bumped to first class while Mrs BJ was travelling economy … I got to look at the boarding card for about 37 seconds and never saw it again :)
