Do I have to book by 31 December so I can use my credit and does the flight/ journey also has to be finished before or at the 31 December.
Or can I book and fly in 2023?? I’m a little bit confused here!??
I wonder if some one of the more experienced frequent flyer can clarify?? Thank you.

@SQ1, airlines have varying terms with the use of such.

If the terms are "book by" then you may be able to do so.

If they are "Book and travel by" then maybe not.

Are there detailed terms available to you?

When did you book? Isn't there a date showing on the credit? If it is showing 31 December, thaten that should be the "use by" date and the flights can be in the future from that date.

Others more experienced in the SQ world will be better placed to give more definitive answers.

Thank you very much for your replies.

This link tells me you can book till 31 December: singapore airlines credit deadline - Google Search

But other sides tell me the journey has to be finished by 31 December 2022: Singapore Airlines extends Bonus Flight Credits validity to December 2022

I made also a few mock bookings to Japan and Europe which would be the only destinations of interest. The prices have been absolutely sky rocketing!! They give you also just one return flight back to choose from, never seen anything like it!??

Thank you.

The original booking has been made in November 2019 to Tokyo for travel in April/May in 2020, but we all know what happend in March!! ;(

Looking at the links you posted, the second one is IMHO the one on which to focus, as the wording is clearer. This comment seems to be pertinent:

Originally Singapore Airlines gave customers until 30th June 2021 to use the credits, later extending the time limit to 31st December 2021, then again to 30th June 2022.

This third validity extension (of the complimentary rebooking option) means you’ll be able to apply the credits to a future booking with all flights completed by 31st December 2022

Clicking on the 3rd validity extension hyperlink takes us to the SIA website: https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/...es/covid19-information-centre/flight-credits/

With flight credits, you can enjoy greater flexibility:

tick
Change your travel dates when you rebook (up till 31 December 2022)
tick
Choose a different destination when you rebook
tick
Select a more flexible fare type when you rebook
tick
Use your flight credits to book a higher cabin class ticket
tick
Use any remaining flight credits for a second booking up till 31 December 2022
The two parts shown in magenta seems to answer the question, you have to book and have flown by 31 December 2022.

Have you tried to contact them via the various social media channels to clarify?
