Looking at the photos I am very jealous! I'm stuck in the UK currently watching the highlights of day 1. Pity about the weather, days like this are absorbing. Test cricket is just a country mile ahead of the one day bashes.

Well that's the end of the first day. Bit of a disappointing afternoon, much drinking. Now sat beside some Asian dude trying to tell me about how good it is to work there.

so remember ME for the Boxing Day Test if you have any spare places... You have my phone number now..... I will talk cricket from the 70's, planes, and show you my photos from the P1 Do & the JT joy flight. And I will / won't tell your wife, depending on what will work the best for me ...

I'm an mcc member if you want a visitor ticket to the game...

Glad to see you are enjoying yourself as usual Lindsay.

Good start by Australia but they really let it get away in the 2nd session.

david870mcg, I thought you'd respond at some stage. Very nice to be sitting outside and very pleasant weather wise.
The weather wouldn't have been too pleasant for much of the afternoon. It was really dark in Toowong about the time they went off for bad light.

Day 2 started 30 mins early and likely to finish 30 mins later tonight (5.30pm).

Overcast and humid but the Kiwi's are batting well.

A little delicate last night but looking forward to today - our table got an upgrade to the Wisden Room for lunch today - could it have been the 3 Moets and 4 bottles of St Henri, plus the tips.

5/218 now. Drinking an opening Lemonade :o

Watching Vittori cruising to his century, but then took a suicidal single on 96 and ran himself out...never take on Mr Cricket!

Got a standing ovation though - pity the lockers in the changing room :o

Ouch, I almost chucked when our first wicket fell (Warner) before lunch - a master stroke to have Vittori bowl the first over in order to have enough time for the second over - where they got the wicket.

Hughes crabbed across the crease and hung the bat out ahead of his pads - so now he is out. 2/27

Oh well, what will Punter do?

TonyHancock, I agree - Test matches: the original and the best. Worst first day weather I can remember.

Don't travel down for the Boxing Day Test in SYD - my father does, as my uncle is a SCG member. I stay in BNE - family reasons ;)

Coming back from Tea, with the Aussies going along slowly - was a bit boring about an hour ago, when no runs for about 10 mins, but then they broke the shackles.

Starting to get lighter now, was getting dark about 20 mins ago and the lights were really working. No rain on the BOM radar, so we should make it to 5.30 stumps now.

cough, first ball wicket ... Run out? Yes! Khawaja out for 38. 3/91

Trying to follow over the internet from the office in Japan during "lunch" break. But its a little difficult to feel the atmosphere from here!

Well, amazed to be here today after what happened to our house yesterday. I have the most amazing wife and happy I married her.

Lunchtime in the Bradman room with Clarke on 99. We'll be in fine form to see him get it after lunch
