On a few BA flights i have been on in Europe (Mostly LHR-FRA & LHR-STR) they have been empty and the cabin crew were looking for people for exit rows, they wanted me to sit there, a safety requirement that somebody have operate the escape window.
Crew were all easy going.

I was was going to complain to BA about anything its that tall people can't fit in club world (J) beds very well. I now see what everybody is talking about. Now i know for future.

On and the other BA gripe i have... not sure why but the cabins are really a bit warm, saves then fuel i imagine not having to cool the air as much. (Yes they still need to cool the air because compressing it to cabin altitude heats it up). But i always sleep well on BA so maybe its good, just wish it was cooler when you stepped on board.

Conversely this is one of the things I like about BA. I dislike travelling in cold cabins

Again, I am aware of the difference in points earning between WT+ and Y with an L base fare.

I don't believe I said I was asking for an apology or for compensation from BA; indeed, I am not. Perhaps my complaint would more appropriately be titled negative feedback.

As for paying the extra, I agree it is subjective. However, unlike some people, I do prefer to experience or use the product or service at least once before I decide it's not worth it. This is exactly what I did on this occasion with WT+. And would I provided was my opinion.

I am also aware that it is not a flat $600 premium for WT+ over Y. Indeed, it is often cheaper to upgrade to WT+ once onboard.

We were both opped up to Club World and allocated Seats 14J and K. To our suprise when we got to our seats we found that an older european couple decided to take our seats and recieved drinks service before we had got there. I turned to them and said are your boarding passes showing 14 J/K and they turned around and said no the seats were empty so we decided to sit here. The guy then got up and apologised and trodded off to his middle row seats opposite us.

The service offered from BA Club world is more attentive than Qantas International Business, however I do find that the club world seats are a bit uncomfortable if you are taller than 6ft which I am.. So other than the above the flight to SIN from SYD was very pleasant.

Yep an op-up is wonderful isn't it. but that 6ft thing is really crazy, they must have been able to do it better you would have thought ! oh well, i still like WT+ as a well priced option and if i fly J paid then stick to the planes that have seats i like.
I collected an ammenities pack just for fun, i have no idea why people care about them, i have never used just about anything inside them. BA is same stuff as QF as far as i can tell.

I recently flew DRW - LHR via BOM (in an effort to avoid flying Jetstar).

DRW - BOM on QF123, A330, and BOM to LHR with BA on a B777.

The QF123 flight was terrible - food was absolutely revolting (I don't normally mind the domestic meals) and the service was, at most points, non existent. It was taking anywhere from 30-60 minutes to get somebody to bring us a drink.

However, the BA flight we were upgraded to WT+ (only paid a cheap RTW fare) which really put QF to shame. I'm not sure if it's because we were in the + cabin but the service was very quick and friendly, managed to get quite sloshed before arriving in LHR.

I sent an email to QF (via the feedback site) whilst in Europe - basically telling them how much better BA was (I did point out that I thought the service on QF123 was not normal, as I normally don't have a problem).

So I arrived home to find a $150 flight voucher in my mail box with an apology, basically saying there was no exuse and it wasn't good enough. Even said they had taken the matter up with the CSM.

This is the second time I've complained to QF in the past few years, and I must say - if nothing else, they do handle complaints very well (last time I got airport shopping vouchers).

I wonder if non-elites get this sort of treatment if they complain?

Of course, on a BA747, 14K is generally considered one of the best lower deck seats in Club World (along with 14A) as this window seat is one of the few where there is easy access to get in/out without climbing over one's aisle seat mate.

You probably received those seats as those originally preallocated them will almost certainly have been op-upped to F.
