Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

A few from the last couple of weeks;

At OzFest a couple of weeks ago Malcolm Turnbull was quietly waiting for a ferry with his wife as we got off.
Tim Ferguson was on my flight home from SYD the next day. Sad to see his movement is now quite limited.

Oh, the day after the election as I was waiting to head home in the SYD QF dom J lounge, Chris Uhlman was wandering the floor. He seemed to be on the phone quite a bit.

Good to hear he is out and about but still a shame the disease is taking it's toll, I fondly remember the DAAS hey day.

Reminds me of a conversation I had last week where a fellow I know from Melbourne was attending the Edutech conference last week and I was enthused that Adam Spencer (!!!!!!) was giving an introductory talk and he said "who's that?" and I said a maths lecturer, comedian and radio personality in which he replied "oh, a SYDNEY personality?". Hmmm, clearly you don't listen or watch to the ABC.

Seen in QF F lounge SYD today. Sam Neill (Kiwi actor) just left for AKL, Jamie Durie (TV host and former stripper) just sat down for a meal

Last week in the AA Flagship First lounge at LAX I saw Ben Stiller - but celeb spotting is really common there.
In Australia I have seen Cher, Chris Hemsworth, and Batface - not together - in the QF F lounge at Sydney.

Lowly local TV "personalities" don't appear on my radar so I won't mention them :)

ScoMo right now in the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge at NAN, in a reserved room with a largish group. Not sure if flying commercial or just the nicest place to be while waiting to depart... he’s looking pretty casual. We’re waiting for QF102, so if he’s on a commercial flight there’s a good chance it’s ours!

Cheers,
Matt.

And indeed ScoMo was on the flight. He had 1D, along with a small family entourage throughout J. A late departing and long flight home, and then to add insult to injury, the boys at SYD couldn't get the airbridge connected and had to take about 5 attempts at it before finally the captain proudly called out 'success!'. Happy to say my bags came out before the PM's, though he was certainly whisked through the remainder of the process a lot quicker

Cheers,
Matt.

Stayed late May at IC Sydney and had K Rudd in Club Lounge for 2 evenings then Julie Bishop in for breakfast through mid morning the day after.

I'm pretty sure me and some others paid for a really nice private/military jet for our PM to use. Wondering why he wasn't using it?

Perhaps it was a family vacation and I dont think we would like our PM using the government aircraft for personal gain.

Well that would be fair enough and common sense.

Having said that, I believe that US Presidents must use military transport even for vacation.
