The only downside is how your back is standing up to the extra kgs that your partner has accumulated for you to move.
Mall walking for Mrsdron would be exercise!
What bargains were uncovered?

Not my back but my knee that feels the strain-replacement scheduled for 2011.

Almost normal?Mrsdrron has been doing this for 30 years. Our bags weighed nearly 50KG more on departure from the USA than on arrival 26 days before. She is fully convinced that Mall walking is the best exercise you can get.;)
drron,

A medical research study could be in order here.

My wife has the same set of convictions as do a few other wives I probably should not name publicly.

I know what you mean!!!

Every time I head to the USA we always end up buying an extra suitcase to bring home the extra clothes!

With the Reserve Bank meeting on next week Westpac believe a rate rise on Oct 5th or about Nov 2nd is coming.
Maybe this thread will need to be changed to Rising!!! Help with the luggage!!!

Well after some brief disappointment after the rate rise hold the AUD dropped down to 0.955 ... but they're over it now. Rebounded to 0.984. Any bets on when it will get to parity?

Just about there

Live rates at 2010.10.07 08:29:00 UTC
1.00 AUD = 0.990129 USD
1.00 AUD = 0.998783 CAD

Just saw this happen

Live rates at 2010.10.07 10:19:00 UTC
1.00 AUD = 1.00000 CAD

AUD$1 =USD$0.989....very close now to the magical parity for the Aussie traveller. I withdrew 2.5K in USD cash last week when I was in the US at around 0.965 which i thought was great...

Its a slow ascent, that really is a big barrier, funny how is all in the head!

Now I just hope PayPal and Amex are processing yesterday's US$900 purchase using today's rate

Back down to 98.90. Just can't quite get to parity.

A warning to fellow AFF'ers. I could be heading overseas shortly so expect the AUD to fall....
