Looks like the 30 day membership (and perhaps A/C membership in general is to take a big hit as far as accessing Qantas Clubs and International Business lounges)

The new wording on aa.com:
Select Qantas Clubs when departing on the same day on an American Airlines operated flight or an American marketed flight operated by Qantas.

Looking at a specific lounge, ADL / Adelaide:
The Qantas Club
Must present your membership card (or 30 Day Membership receipt) and boarding pass at lounge check-in counter for same day travel on an American Airlines or US Airways operated flight or an American Airlines marketed flight operated by Qantas.
The previous wording was:
Access to nearly 40 Admirals Club locations worldwide and over 30 international lounges operated by oneworld® partner Qantas (must be traveling on Qantas operated flight for access to Qantas lounges). And as an added benefit, Admirals Club members also now have access to 18 US Airways Clubs.
This change will severely reduce the usefulness of this for Oz residents.
