ExperFlyer beta program - April 2025

On a flight I'm tracking, shows as J9 for availability and a full seat map. Uselss. Have sent a message. I'm month to month and will cancel. Should get a refund actually.

I heard back from them and sent them some screenshots for comparison. Will give them a bit longer before cancelling.

It seems they are working on it at the moment:

Update:
  • We are working on the QF seat map issue that some of you have reported where we are showing blocked seats as occupied. Our target is to have a solution in place before EOW.
  • We are also finishing up the work to show missing Flight Availability results on some routes. ETA is EOD tomorrow.
  • Currently investigating the 404 and the 500 errors reported.

Yes. Last night the seat maps aren't now available. I'm canceling. I'm only using it for one flight in September.

Today I received an email saying they've fixed the Qantas seat map issue. So I checked. They haven't.

Well, at least there are maps again…

Weirdly, I checked my next trip out/back and outbound looks about (probably because inside T-80) right but return still looks odd (ie blocked seats appearing as “Taken”…

I presume that is the result of a saved query. It seems one's recorded status is not being taken into account when returning a result from asaved query. Select refine search or do a new search and the results are somewhat better ...

However, the result is still not differentiating between blocked and allocated searing, showing eitherl as allocated.

I too received a similar communication. Will be replying back.

No. A new query. I don't think I've plugged status in anyway.

That explains it. A different seat maps based/on an Qantas' interpretation of status would be generated is a FF number is entered in your account under the preferences tab.

(Even for NB).

I just checked my account when you mentioned that. . My QFF details were inserted. I did it so many years ago I’d forgotten. So mystery still unsolved.

Yep, I deleted and readded QF number just in case.

Forward sections are still all showing occupied unfortunately. Have replied back to EF with more screenshot comparisons.

I can’t even see the seat map in J for some of my flights.
These are QFi, not imminent, not full and easily accessible seat maps and choice of seat via MMB.
EF will only show the Y cabin.

Absolute borked and not worth paying for anymore.

This makes two of my go-to travel apps that are borked. The other one is TripIt Pro. It no longer understands cruise bookings and even one yesterday from Booking.com got rejected. Contacted them and their developers are 'looking into it' and of course the 'advice' that I can add these details manually. 🤬 Ah, that's what my paid subscription is supposed to be for. And which they were reminded of.

Economy seat maps now working again correctly for me!

Business still broken. Sigh

Edit: May have spoken too soon. Economy is also displaying seats that don't exist on the configuration. At least it's an improvement.

It's annoying that they bother to send an email to tickets saying they've fixed it (and I'd sent them screenshots of the flight I was tracking) only to find they haven't. Previously they asked me to send them screenshots of the seat map showing all the (correct) vacant seats. Well, like I save a screenshot of that when I never expected that the next week it would be broken.
