Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

That's very interesting boomy. It appears that there are lots of different offers around. They are increasing the amount of points based on the spends but the percentage rewards are different. I haven't done any calculations based on the posts today but my offer looks rather different percentage wise compared to boomys offer.

My target for the 2 weeks is $135 and I've been offered a total of 7600 points (3800 per week). Boomy has been offered 9200 for the same spend. The percentage reward for me is around 14% and boomy's is around 17%.

I'm wondering who has used their card more recently, me or boomy and also when the offers were generated in the system. The offers might have only appeared today but they are usually planned a couple of weeks in advance so anything spent in the last few weeks might not have affected our target totals.

There are only a few weeks a year when I spend over $135 in a week across several transactions. Lucky for me, next week is one of those weeks. I might even have an outside chance of making the target in the second week. I think I'll be stocking up with fresh meat in the second week. The spring lamb prices are more reasonable than in previous months.

My offer is x2 $205 weeks=16,400 points, had a couple of monster collects in Jan I believe before they switched the FF earn off.
This will def influence where I spend in the next 14 days:)

That provides a good data point to play with...

2016 09 11 Woolies Offers.jpg

Seems quite a range nearly 100% difference from highest/lowest points per $$ spent over the two weeks.First $85 spend is 3,600 points each week?

Now I wonder for each of you so far:

  1. How many times a week would you normally shop at W?
  2. How consistently have you been shopping at W? Consistently = spending roughly the same amount each week after week vs missing shopping at W one or more weeks a month?
Then we can really begin to get an idea of the algorithm being used....

Let the games commence!

I wonder if anyone who got the "booklet" also got this bonus offer.
I got the spend $175 get 12,000 points offer and no "booklet"
My regular weekly shop since earlier this year has dropped to around $80 - 100 per week.

My spending is completely inconsistent for the card that got the $135 x 2 for 7600. I've bought $100 of JB Hi-fi gift cards over the last 2 weeks so that might have skewed the target. I've received offers with a target of $135 for my card before but I've never taken them up. The highest offer I've taken up with that card is $80 per week. The $135 target could have been triggered by a $100 shop I did early in August where I had a $10 coupon. August is one of the few months where I make a couple of transactions at WW for over $100. It would take data from multiple years to see this pattern and it wouldn't always appear as I've used other family member cards some of the time during these large transactions or I've split the transactions over several cards.

I'm pleased everyone else is getting some offers. I'm yet to get an offer on either account since the change. I've updated my profile and done all the usual things, but no joy. I'm happy shopping at Coles, but the target spends from FB are getting uneconomical, so a week or two at Woolies would be good.

Based on my observations of WW offers over the years, they don't send multiple types of offers to the one card. Flybuys do, so this is where it gets confusing. My guess is that those that received the WR booklets won't receive the email offers and vice versa. Woolworths are just trying to figure out how to get the best response from various customers.

When I didn't receive the booklets, part of me didn't mind because I knew that increased the chances of getting email offers.

The email ones seem to be better that than the books - shorter duration, lots more points. The books seem more targeted at changing behavior over a longer period.
Would have thought that they would be better than the short one - eg my book will be worth ~ 12000 + a bit for the double / triple spends.

Also - Are you email recipients getting the 5x spend on fuel and the 1000 pts per $40 spend at BWS ?

No, I didn't receive either of these type of offers by email. It's possible these will come in separate emails. Back in the Everyday Rewards days, email offers would come separately for each partner in the program. The offers would have different colour themes depending on the partner. Woolworths supermarkets emails were green, Big W was Blue, BWS was orange and Dick Smith was black.

Didn't use the card in the last two weeks.
Offer comes at good timing as just returned from overseas and need to restock an empty fridge.
For the second week I'll probably stock up on 10L Pureau water. When living in MEL always wondered who are those people who spend money on water but since moving to BNE, where the tap water is disgusting, I became one of those people (another reason to miss MEL) and been known for emptying the shelves of my local Woolies during promotions ;)

Out of 4 accounts I've had one of them receive a booklet and none of them have received the bonus offer.

2000 points x 2 weeks if I spend $60 in one spend for each of the next two weeks. Rather poor offering I thought.

To all of those getting these bonus point offers, check your dockets carefully. Some of mine have been awarded whilst other have not credited. Currently discussing with Woolies, who claim that I haven't activated the offers.

Which offers do you mean Dr? The fuel ones or other ones?

My understanding is that the fuel ones wont credit until after the entire offer period has finished.

In what way do you consider that a poor offering? Effectively $10 back for spedning $60 isn't too bad?
