Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

I received a similar offer - $70 per week for $20. Might make it, might not.

Mind you, would have been nice to have received it earlier, seeing as the promotion started today - I checked my emails this morning before heading off to do my shopping (if you don't shop the catalogue specials on the Wednesday, you often miss out with our local Woolies!) and this email offer wasn't there then, so it's a bit annoying to receive it AFTER I've done a shop that would have counted towards the total.

Ok am back after doing a big shop and reaching the $65 required for the week. There is now a $10 Woolies credit on my receipt ready for the next shop. And a reminder that I can do it all again next week with a $65 shop.

Well, after a whole month I have finally got an offer that is not linked to overpriced items carrying a dreaded Orange Sticker.
$50 off a $320 spend and 260 QFF points may tempt me for now but what are Woolies going to do for me as a customer come January 1 when there are no more QFF Points?

Total Woolies Pesos to date 0.70 from nearly $400 of shopping.

Hi The Flying Brick.jpg

Wife - spend $85/week for 2 weeks to earn $30 Woolworths dollars
Me - spend $170/week for 2 weeks to earn $60 Woolworths dollars

If they continue with these promotions it's a much better result than QFF points. Wonder why they are not including the other 3 family members in the promotions.

I'm wondering why one of our accounts didn't get lucky enough to get the offers. I don't expect all of them to get it but one would be nice. Perhaps they are only targeting members who spend over $80 per week.

No, don't think that's it - I wouldn't get anywhere near $80 a week at Woolworths, I'd be lucky if I even got to $50 most weeks (and that's over several smaller shops). The only time I've spent more than that is when they had the gift card offers for spends over 3 or 4 weeks, and even then, only when it was a reasonable spend target.

I would be suprised if these offers had been planned.

Maybe they have had a drop off in sales/barcode use.

The [SUP]I[/SUP]&[SUB]$[/SUB]'s seem to be relevant to a single barcode only - they are not shared across 'joint' accounts.

Before receiving these two offers (up to double [SUP]I[/SUP]&[SUB]$[/SUB]10 & $80 spend x 2 for [SUP]I[/SUP]&[SUB]$[/SUB]30) my barcode had not been scanned since the announcement of the demise of EDR. (I have three barcodes in my wallet ;) ).

Even so, if not for the [SUP]I[/SUP]&[SUB]$[/SUB]1 per Kg rebate on $2.40/Kg tomatoes, I still would have no [SUP]I[/SUP]&[SUB]$[/SUB]'s.

I just got a Big W offer which looks targeted but I'm not really sure. I can't get it activated due to technical issues. I think the fact that I have to activate it means it is targeted but the wording is very bad in some places.

The deal is to spend $125 at Big W from now until Sunday in one transaction and receive a $25 gift voucher. The voucher comes in the form of a notation at the bottom of the receipt and has an expiry date of 31 December. The voucher must be used in one transaction only where the total amount of goods is over $25. There are lots of exclusions on the offer. I don't usually spend over $100 at Big W, however I did recently when they had a big sale of Lego. I'm guessing they want me to do this again.

I'm tempted to use the offer but I'm not sure it is worth it. If I use it I will probably use it for Christmas presents but I'm not sure I'll find suitable presents at Big W this year. I'd rather have a Woolworths offer at the moment than a Big W offer.

Got the same. We were going to shop this week anyway so we can be creative and do two transactions. Interesting when you activate the offer it goes to an EDR web link.

I finally managed to get the activation screen working properly. I also noticed they haven't updated their links to reflect the Woolworths rewards domain. Apparently I must have activated the offer, even though I was getting an error message. When I finally viewed the activation link on a different computer I got the message that the offer had already been activated.

Woolies offer ... 2 x Wks @ $80 per wk = $30

I'm thinking there's a bit of a "gotcha" with this offer - first week spend $80 +change, and get $15 credited to your rewards account, but then the second week, you'll need to spend $95 +change, in order to keep the second week total over $80 and get the second $15 rewards credit. Or have I thought that through wrongly?

I was thinking the same thing ... unless you can reach the spend target and qualify for the credit ($10 in my case) and use it against another shop within the first week, then you should just need to reach the spend target again in the second week? Whereas, if you use the credit against the second week's shop/s, I don't know whether that "discount" is included in the final spend total or not. The Ts & Cs don't seem to mention this scenario, so we might not know until somebody actually does it! i'm finding it gives a running "$$ you still need to spend this week to qualify" total on the bottom of the receipt, so will be interesting to see what happens in the second week if you're not using Week 1's credit until then.

Nice to see all of the targeted offers. I'm yet to receive one myself. But I think the real value of the new reward scheme is beginning to be shown. It's hardly as a disaster as many were claiming when it was first announced. I'd much rather real money saved now than some QFF points that I may never use.

You've figured out some of the catches to the offer. Woolworths dollars can only be redeemed in multiples of $10. You'll need to get $90 worth of groceries and then $10 from the first week will come off the total and leave you with a balance of $80 spend for the week. The following week $20 should come off your shopping in WWD.
