Error when clicking on quoted text

we were taken to that post, but for a week or more I'm getting.

For what it's worth, it seems that this is only a problem if the source post (i.e. the post in which the quoted text originated) is located on a different page to that on which the quote has been posted. If the source post is on the same page, then clicking the quoted text does take you to the source post.

I am here to report that I am finding this error.... and damn well it is annoying. I thought at first it was just some teething update problem that would iron out, but this has been going on for weeks.

Like @DejaBrew mentioned, if the post I am clicking on to chase the source is on the same page as the one I am on, there is no problem, and the browser goes straight to it as if it were an anchor jump. But if it is on a different page, I get a 404.

It is interesting how this works out. A quoted post URL (i.e. to bring you back to the post that has been quoted) looks like this:
https://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/goto/post?id=2994902

When the post is on the same page and it goes to it successfully, the resolved URL turns into this:
https://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/threads/malaysia-airlines-lounges-at-kul.107554/page-7#post-2994900

For a post not on the same page, the URL doesn't resolve at all, and a 404 page is proffered.

It appears to be fixed on desktop, but not mobile. Using Chrome on Android, have tried logging out and back in to AFF, and using incognito.

It has not happened to me in the last 48 hours. Chrome on W11 and Android as well as Samsung browser on Android.

This being the unresolved URL issue as described by @anat0l in post 9 herein.

Same for me. Chrome on android yields a 404.
