Earn points on Bank Transfers

Another question. I've just set a payall (on fri 23rd dec). It says the date is 5th Jan. Is there any possibility that will be done on Dec 31st ? I hope not, as that will go over my $20k for the month of December. Again I hope this question makes sense.
No possibility of it happening on Dec 31 as that is a Saturday. Monday Jan 2 is a bank holiday. It is likely to happen on Jan 3 but it could happen on Dec 30. There is no way to control this. I would delete it and set it up for Jan 6.

- The max. payall of $20k is per calendar month ?
Yes
- The max. 20k points earned is per statement period ?
No. There is no limit to the points you can earn in a statement period. Uncapped says the T&C's

Not a chance would be my guess, but you'll just have to wait and see because Citibank CSR's won't be able to tell you either.

Thank you very much for answering both my questions. I think I meant to type could it happen on the 30th? I'll play it safe and delete it now and redo it tomorrow, so hopefully that will be processed on the 6th.

Another question again please. I think I read somewhere that they were removing the unlimited Priority Pass membership for this card on 31st of December. Can anyone confirm that is the case. As I've clicked on the link today (1st of January) and still see it as a perk

ok, i believe i arrived very late to this party, so pls forgive this silly question :D Are you guys using Citi Pay All to meet min spend and earn points on gov transactions, and even bank transfers??

Just doing my first PayAll to another of my accounts to get my $100 bonus...

Quote: Which card? The Prestige? There's been no talk of them doing so.

Yes the prestige card. That's great news. Thanks very much for the t&c's document. That's very handy.

Late to the party on this feature - can't believe I missed this for so long. Reminds me of the old days with ING and paying Telstra bills with macros 😄

I've just received my new Prestige card which I plan to load up and have set up a test payment which I could only schedule for the 30th Jan at the earliest.

I do have a question which I hope I can get some clarification on with regards to limits. I can see that there are limits of 20K points per month which are currently in place for any new payments and I just want to clarify whether this is on account level or card level. I have a new Prestige with a 20K limit and the old faithful Premier at 10K. Can I run both to maximise upto 30k per month - Is it just a case of try and see how I go?

Didnt know it was a thing to have multiple cc from the same bank! I ll bet you can do 30 in total. Maybe 40 if you ask for a credit increase on the premier? Let us know.

Citi PayAll Transaction Limits

The below Citi PayAll Transaction Limits apply to each cardholder.

Number of total transactionsA cardholder can make up to 10 Citi PayAll transactions each calendar month across all Citi branded credit cards.
Number of recipient transactionsA cardholder can make up to 5 Citi PayAll transactions to a particular recipient each calendar month across all Citi branded credit cards.
Transaction value of transactionsA cardholder can make up to $20,000 (subject to available credit) in Citi PayAll transactions each calendar month across all Citi branded Credit Cards.

Edit: This is what the website says. Whether or not they actually enforce these limits (some or all of the time) might require some subtle testing…

The monthly limit seems to just take into account amounts submitted regardless of them being processed or cancelled, i.e. I submitted a payment for $12k but made a mistake with the date so cancelled it but when I try resubmitting with the correct dates, the system will say that I have exceeded the monthly limit (I have not done any other PayAll transactions in the month)

Give it a couple of days and retry. Should work.

Any changes you make to PayAll setups, whether that be new ones or cancellations, take 24hrs/overnight to be reconciled back to the Citibank computers to take effect. It is not instantaneous like you imagine it to be given that it all takes place on a phone which is logged in to Citibank. The front end user experience is 21st Century, but the back end processing is from the Victorian era circa-1850's. When you cancel a payment, it is only cancelled in the 21st Century - which doesn't count. You have to wait for it to also be cancelled manually by a Victorian-era banker wearing a monacle, sitting at a desk with a green banker's lamp, updating the ledger with a fountain pen. This only happens in the dead of night.

It is either a mark of just how inefficient Citibank's systems are that they can't cope with anything taking place more often than once in any 24hr period, or else it is an intentional anti-flood mitigation measure to prevent people from repeatedly making and cancelling and then remaking new PayAll payment requests in a very short period of time. Either way, the moral of the story is, work out exactly what you want to do offline first using paper+pen if you have to, before you pick up the phone and start trying to do it live in the app, because you can't afford to make a mistake unless you want to wait 24hrs between each one before you can fix it.

I’m trying to catch up with this… can’t believe I missed it! Is there a benefit in getting the Diners for this? Or does it just call the transaction from the account, not a specific card?

Just tried it submitting again and was successful. Guess the monocle wearing banker works weekends 😂

As a data point my payment happened 5 days early

- Payment scheduled for the 31st (Tues)
- SMS on the 27th (Fri) at 8pm to advise that payment would be happening that night
- Logged on to ensure adequate balance and payment had already occurred i.e money had left the account.

However the money did not arrive at my Suncorp account on the 30th (Mon) at approx 3pm.

I have no idea why it took the best part of 4 days to get to the other account - blaming Citi as this seemed unsually slow!
