Just got this from A|Club Places:

Dear Pablo,

We are contacting you to inform you that your stay at the ibis Newcastle and the Mercure Brisbane have been approved for A|Club Places points. Your account will be credited shortly for both stays. For your stays at the Grand Mercure Hobart Hadleys Hotel and Mercure Grosvenor Hotel Adelaide, as they are very recent hotels within the Accor Group, it will take more time to credit the account. But rest assured you will receive your points for those stays once they are registered in the system.

The hotels have now registered on my Facebook page but still waiting for the points to come through.

Surprised at the comment about the Mercure Grosvenor Hotel Adelaide being new - I've stayed there for a few years now and it's been a Mercure!

After many tries I have now managed to "check-in" on Facebook (in February) for two stays in Paris for September/October 2012. I am listed as "Awaiting" so it will be interesating to see if anything happens.

I gave up on it and deleted the account. Wasn't worth my time or effort.

Same here. Deleted long ago. I think I'll probably end up dropping the entire A|Club altogether. The minimal benefits obtained is not worth the effort when compared to other programs.

I was still listed as awaiting so I sent an email to Le Club via Facebook. A very quick response requesting dates of stay, member number and screenshots and now a result looks likely. It'll take me close to the minimum for a QF transfer so is worthwhile.

Well it's starting to look like a dead loss. Places check-in must coincide with hotel check-in. Of course App wasn't working during my stays in Paris. Can Le Club tech team fix the problem? Who knows?

A stay from May last year posted this morning. I suppose 11 months isn't too long to wait.....

Well the final answer from LE CLUB was no points for check-in on FB that didn't work. At least I did get points for the hotel stay!
