Thanks for sharing that, no reason in today's world why these things should take days like they have been.Just did my final leg and again it posted an hour after completion so that is great news from virgin especially when you are about to go up a tier
The issue has been the way Velocity tied the points to the dollars you spend. Looks like they have got that issue sorted. Thanks for sharing that, no reason in today's world why these things should take days like they have been.
Instant info, nice one Virgin. There're heading in the right direction.
shouldn't of your AKl-RAR received economy level SC's?So my SCs for SYD-AKL posted double with points but my AKL-RAR flight upgrade from economy to business got zero SCs and zero points . Guess will need to call.
Thanks for reporting back!Just completed my first flight booked during this promotion today. Received 30 SC for an Elevate ticket MEL > ADL (double the normal 15). My wife received the same and pooled to me.
Note that these were booked as Promo fares so despite what some have been told by the call centre these all seem to be eligible for the Double SC offer.
Flying the return leg on Sunday so will confirm if the same happens on the way back.
While the offers may extend beyond those months mentioned, February and May are historically two of the three lowest months for all types of travel (surface and air) in Oz, so perhaps giving VA some extra cashflow is part of the rationale for these offers. However VAd on its own is profitable IIRC (though as a group, VA is not.)In my experience this is the third open DSC offer this year , first one being in Feb and another in May 2019. So definitely more than once a year.
Experience is they post to the scheduled departure date of the flight - all in one hit (e.g. If earn is normally 25 SC, then 50 SC will post with no riders).I used this offer to book the family MEL-CNS return in July, which will requalify me for Plat after pooling.
However, the return flight is the last day of my membership year - any idea if the bonus SCs are credited a few days late will they be backdated to the date flown?
