Just wondering if anyone knows how much alcohol you can take onto a domestic flight in your carry on baggage. Haven't been able to find a maximum on the web, is there one?

There isn't a limit, except the weight is within the guidelines.. Approx 7kg

It seems QF is stricter on this than their subsidiary, JQ! And also than TT! I can think of at least two people I know who have brought back full cases of wine with them from Tassie to Melbourne on JQ and TT flights - one was my sister on a JQ flight only a few weeks ago. Or it could possibly be a flight attendant's discretion?

FA/CSM's discretion.

I had a very lightly packed garment bag recently that was borderline on dimensions- I'd never once had to separate baggage at the door save for when trailing with my boss once or twice- and the FAs told me I'd need to check it solely on the basis that the CSM might, just might, look askance at it. So much for boarding first to avoid the rush for locker space.

Staff discretion in all such things. Remember to follow the cabin crew's directions at all times ;)
