Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview!

So my challenge got sorted - the specifics of this Friday gave me no wiggle room, but I have an itinerary now that's going to give me a comfy trip up the front, 140SC, some points, and actual cost $150/80k. That gets me to the retirement dinner for an industry colleague, which is more important than the points or the money. A most charming agent went the extra mile - or miles - for me, and happy to hand back my points and $$ to someone like that.

Karratha trip really sounds like fun. Travelling in June though so most likely won't have time to arrange anything before the chopper falls. :-(

Interesting. I guess then from 1 July it becomes a question of whether you want to earn more SCs and pay more to book through the QF web site (with QF flight numbers), or pay less by booking through LA and also earn less SCs. The same flights on the same dates are being sold by QF for AUD1,737!

Where does one find these mythical $700 return J fares? All I ever see are $1,600-800 on the QF booking engine. :(

Definitely not mythical. I have one already booked for June.

So it's actually cheaper to fly twice with the LA code than the QF code? Wouldn't that earn the same SCs if I'm not mistaken?

Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview!

Actually I meant that if you do the run twice booked through LAN as opposed to once through QF you could visit the SYD Flounge twice.

I guess I was being too subtle.

I think I'm the one who's being too subtle... personally for me, it would not be possible for me to fit in any Flounge time for a 9-ish departure (or multiples of them).
