I read somewhere that FD'ing doesn't work with some carriers. Singapore airline being among them.

Hi! My first post here, guess there will be more even if my prefered area is C2 ;)

It's true that FD does not work for all carrier, but for SQ it can work. Already done before..

would it be 100% FD? Also, would it be 1x or 3x? I would be very interested in this one....

Sorry - just to clarify - do you mean that you have done an FD for SQ flying out of C2?

Ive been trying countless options on ITA for SQ - C3 to C5 though. But would not mind it if it were C3-C2 or other way around either.
Have heard that FDing on SQ is near impossible - so just wanted to clarify when this was done - and whether I need to continue searching (or am I wasting my time ?? Sometimes searching for a 3X feels like that... :( )

Have been looking for 3Xs on that particular combination (i.e. C3 to C5) - and have not come up with much.

Im glad that at least there is some further movement here on this forum - the other forums mostly have ex C1 stuff

Nice to see a thread on AFF. Something I have been keen to learn more about but the FT thread is difficult to get around in, and also seems to be C1/C2 orientated which doesn't help us ;)

Hi All,

I have seen a comment on C6-C1 on the kangaroo is 100% dumpable. This was about 6 months old. Anyone know if it is still the case? Could be a good combo with the recent $1300 sale ($680 in YQ)

50% dump is easy, although ideally you would actually fly this sector... I'm yet to find something like a $9 fare to get maximum benefit.

Perhaps this is why we don't see these deals on our favourite site.
TICKETS MUST BE ISSUED ON QF AND MAY NOT BE SOLD IN
ARGENTINA/NEW ZEALAND/BRAZIL/COLOMBIA/PARAGUAY/URUGUAY

Ireland I believe used to offer a little discount

Any hints on which country (or airline) i look for the 3rd sector?

$9 would suggest J* on a friday frenzy?

For 50% YQ dumpable C6>->C1 - $300 saved, $220 base fare, take the lady horse wearing santa socks.

Anyone able to help dump further sacks of coal from the sleigh?

I've read some of the dense FlyerTalk thread to try to learn how to find some fuel dump opportunities. Have I got the basic steps right?

1. Find a high YQ low base fare
2. Quickly search that with random 3xs in different areas, to find which airlines cause the YQ to drop/disappear, even if it make the base fare higher. That'll tell you which airlines don't have a YQ distribution agreement with the main carrier.
3. Using those carriers find a short 3x flight you can add without causing the base fare to increase

So in my case I have a MH flight which is 40% YQ, so first I'll want to find which carriers I can add to drop the YQ before looking at exact 3x flights?

I've worked out the 50% off one, and can actually make use of the flights as they are in Aus so it is a true 50% off for me.

Still no luck on the 100%

Wow, my head is already hurting!

Preparing to join the game, will start putting in some work tonight.

The mystery of this all intrigues me!

I happen to be from C1. What is a current FD from the big apple to somewhere in C6?
I assume someone on this site is the best person to ask!
I am in college, have been collecting miles from ccs for some time, now doing work on this.

Hi guys,

I found a 50% YQ FD from C3 to C2 with a 3X further West that will allow me to fly in J on the maharajah from C3 to C2 for approx AUD1400 ai. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a TA that can ticket/book these flights for me yet. Any hints on which online/ offline travel agent to use, especially for mixed class bookings? Your help would be much appreciated. thanks.

I am thinking the title of this thread is misleading?
