On Tuesday 29 December DL41 arrived in SYD 75 minutes late at 0945 hours. This may delay the return DL40 back to LAX as it is timetabled to depart at 1110.

DL41 on Wednesday 6 January (B772 N705DN) is preparing to land and should arrive about 50 minutes late at 0920.

The Thursday 18 February arrival of DL41 (B772 N706DN) in SYD ex LAX is about to occur at 0912, 42 minutes behind time.

For the second consecutive day DL41 (LAX to SYD) is late, which on Friday 19 February means about 55 minutes, worse than yesterday at roughly 0925 hours. Aircraft is B772 N703DN.

DL has such a low profile in Oz outside of SYD that when a friend flew recently to LAX ex MEL, she only considered QF, and seemed unaware of UA's nonstops or VA or DL options via other Australian airports, or the option of NZ or HL for that matter.

On Sunday 5 June, the normally punctual DL41 ex LAX is arriving in SYD at about 0835 hours, an hour and 45 minutes behind schedule. Aircraft is B772 N710DN.

Tuesday 12 July sees DL41 ex LAX arriving in SYD at a forecast 0742, 52 minutes late with aircraft B772LR N705DN.

Delta Airlines Flights Grounded, Computer Outage to Blame

This will be massive....According the Delta it has an 826 strong fleet.

Qantas was nowhere near this number when it was sinbinned by AJ. Even now mainline QF prob only has about 125 aircraft...

The Tuesday 9 August 2016 DL41 (2250 hours ex LAX for SYD, B772LR N703DN) did not pushback until 0120 hours on Wednesday 10. Accordingly on Thursday 11 August, it should arrive at about 0831, 101 minutes behind the timetable.

Saturday 5 November sees DL41 (B772LR N701DN) arriving in SYD at around 0853 hours, 38 minutes late after taking off from LAX 61 minutes after its pushback time.

Wednesday 4 January 2017 sees DL41 from LAX to SYD (N704DK, B772LR) likely to pull in at about 0950 hours, 35 late. AA and QF are also delayed on the route this morning in a similar fashion.

Delta enhances reliability pledge to corporate customers | Delta News Hub

Throughout 2016, Delta met the OPC commitment by outpacing both American and United in the measured operational performance:
* Delta ranked number one in A0 and A14 on-time performance, as well as completion factor and we’re well on our way to the number one spot in baggage handling.
* Delta had fewer system-wide cancellations. In fact, for 241 days last year, Delta didn’t cancel a mainline flight anywhere in the world, beating an industry record we set during 2015 by 80 days.

Saturday 25 February has the LAX - SYD DL41 (N706DN, a B772LR) suggested as arriving at 0946 hours, 31 minutes late.

UPDATE: AFF member Flyerqf advised in the QF delays thread that urgent runway maintenance was required this morning in SYD. As a result, DL41 ended up diverting to BNE with SYd arrival changed to 1413 hours this afternoon, badly delaying the returning flight back to LAX.

The delayed DL41 on 25 February has been further altered to arrive in SYD at 1438 compared with its scheduled 0915 hours arrival.

The Thursday 6 April SYD arriving DL41 ex LAX (B772LR N704DK) should be in at roughly 0744, 54 late. As DL40 on the return is not timetabled to depart until 1000 hours, it should (touch wood) be fine timekeeping wise.

DL40, the Monday 26 June 2017 SYD - LAX (B772LR N705DN, the 1000 hours that was in the sky at 1122) should arrive at roughly 0731 hours, 46 minutes tardy.

Tuesday 27 June sees the incoming DL41 from LAX to SYD (B772LR N709DN) again badly late, with arrival expected at 0837, 122 minutes behind schedule. This will at least marginally delay the departing DL40 (scheduled 1000 from SYD to LAX.)
