Hey everyone! Here's a bit of a curly question for you... do Qantas allow military personnel to access the QP? I can't find any information online about it, however having been in america recently, I know AA does allow entry for uniformed military members (and priority boarding too!) I've heard that Virgin allow ADF members entry, though this is second hand information.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance to any who reply, and also thanks to any serving or retired ADF members here :)

I have seen military in the lounges before.. I believe it is based on your status though rather than being given access for being in the armed services.

Defence personnel (ADF and APS) can purchase QC membership at a discounted rate. The area I work with travel often and usually gain Gold in no time. Sometimes QP is like old home week !

Unfortunately... no. Usual lounge access policy applies for the Qantas Club (many I know have tried and failed). In regards to the Virgin Lounge, I believe that access is usually given due to the 'D' class fare of WOAG (Whole of Australian Government) tickets. (It's a pity we can't access WOAG rates for personal travel :( they are so good value)
