Yes Jeff got rid of Show day (was Melbourne only anyway) but I'll point out we have never had an ANZAC "holiday" in lieu of it falling on a weekend. It is always commemorated on the day.

Anzac Day 2015

We got one in 2010.

The last time Anzac Day fell on a Saturday was in 2009, and no extra day was observed. But the following year, when April 25 fell on a Sunday, Victoria was granted a public holiday on the Monday.

That'd be one extra, give our equivalent was in March. But it also means we get no public holidays between June and November...
One extra day for us? We don't get a public holiday in March!

Labour Day used to be first Monday in May in Queensland but was changed last year to October to spread the public holidays out.

No, we get one extra, not the two as stated above. Given we all have labour day, just on different days. Our extra is Cup Day.

In Victoria?

In NSW we used to always get an ANZAC day holiday. Friday if ANZAC day fell on a Saturday. Monday if ANZAC day fell on a Sunday. Then some clown decided no public holiday if ANZAC day fell on a weekend.

Tried to do the same with Australia Day but I think we always get one now.

You look at Europe, they get more annual leave, more days daylight savings, on average 12 public holidays and work less hours.

And Singapore have less public holidays and no daylight saving and are going gangbusters.
The closer to the Equator you get the less daylight saving is needed.

Possibly part of the reason that those states and territories, with land areas that pass into the tropics, do not observe daylight savings

Singapore have one more public holiday than most Australian states.

Also, along with Malaysia, it could be argued that Singapore has permanent daylight savings with sunrise/set at 7am/7pm, compared to Indonesia/Thailand immediately to north and south which are one hour behind and sunrise/sunset is closer to 6am/6pm.

Daylight saving has only been gone a week and I miss it already.

I would also like the hour I lost as I was overseas when daylight saving went back last week.

Except you didn't lose it. You landed back in Australia, or NSW, 1 hour earlier than you would have during daylight savings. Of course if you left australia from Queensland then there was no time change at all.
