There is a new offer. We received a mail out for the Platinum Amex yesterday. With the conditions you quoted.
Also spend 3 times in DJ's within the first month and get 30K bonus DJ's points / 22,500 QFF points.
Thats the one I want - any idea if there is a link to access online?

The card in the post above is not the new David Jones Plat card though, its the old 'standard' card. I can't find a web link anywhere yet for the new plat DJ card

Yes granted it is the old card - but I snipped that from Amex site this morn - I am surprised Amex have not updaterd their site.

Yes, me too. I thought they'd be right onto it. I am getting interested now. with potentially 30K bonii up for offer along with decent earn, even once converted, to airlines + some nice stuff like free alterations and delivery ... I am thinking seriously about applying.

I can't find any link :(
OK kids here is the deal::

Invitation only - jeez I feel left out.

BUT - I just called Centurion who put me through to DJ AMEX section who says if you have heard of offer but not received invitation in mail than can still apply.

AMEZ Cent RM will send me application form or I can call into DJs store and pick one up there - fill in and hand straight back to DJs or send in to AMEX.

Will call into DJs am morrow with Cruiserette and complete 2 applics on the spot.

Good luck guys - I think this one is a no brainer with 30K bonus pts and good pts earn.

I got all excited about the sign on bonus and tried on line. There is nothing online as others have found. So I tried the phone number on the Amex DJ web page. Got a very helpful bloke who told me that the introduction of this card is being phased. Currently it (the Amex DJ platinum) is only being made available to existing DJ Amex holders. Over the next few months it will become available to the general public. There will be sign on bonuses to these new applicants but they cannot confirm what they will be except they are likely to be the same.
He reckons there will not be application forms in the stores for the general public just yet.
But please let us know if you find one

Am sitting at my desk in my office right now with Cruiserette sitting opposite and both of us completing the applic forms Cruiserette picked up at DJs in Southland this morning.

So YES you can collect applic forms at DJs stores.

Fantastic news

I'll be into DJs very soon. many thanks

Doyou think I will get rejected? I already have westpac altitude plat mc and amex and plat edge, reserve and plat charge!

So I went into DJ's today to investigate. The QFF points are being advertised on banners and I overheard a lot of people asking about changing their points directly to QFF. No hint publicly of the Platinum Card.
I went to Customer Services to inquire and was asked " Did you receive a mailed invite? " replied yes and was given an application. It looks at this stage as if the Platinum card is having a soft launch. The rep had various different application forms dependent on previous card holder status. I'm still a bit hesitant at the $295 fee and the fee for supplementary card holders is apparently $99 PA on the application form but waived for the first year.

$295! That's quite a lot isn't it. Suppose DJs has to make money somehow now given their crumbling revenue base of old world retail.

Popped into DJs today. Indeed, hidden away in the back cupboard are the platinum application forms. I was asked if I had an existing card and said yes thinking it was to confirm I was able to apply now. But I was given a form that was an application "for existing DJ Amex card holders".

MMM, so I quickly changed gear and said that my wife didn't have an existing card and was there a form for that. There was and I now have it. No mention on any of the paperwork of sign on bonus.

I think this card is worth it for the sign on bonus and then I'll see

DJ Plat Amex sounding like a pseudo Cent card:

- by invitation only
- no sign on bonus (yet)
- hidden forms
- no mention on either DJ or Amex site.

Must be very desirable then.

There is a sign on bonus, 30K points for spending x 3 within the first month.
This was a targeted mailed offer

Is the new DJ AMEX Plat a direct earn card to QFF or can you warehouse it and then send it across? and can you transfer to other airline FF programs?
