This is too confusing for me to understand lol :)

Is there a nice table outlining the earn and transfer rates? :)

Has anyone done a DJMR transfer to AAMR so we know it's definitely 1:1 ?

I'd like to know too.

The transfer from David Jones Membership Rewards to Ascent Membership Rewards is done via a "Gift" transfer using this form/process: https://www.americanexpress.com/australia/pdfs/customerservice/amex_mrpoints_gift_requestform_v5.pdf Its not stated what the transfer rate is, but I called Amex and the CSR told me its 1:1. I'd do my own research on this before making the 'gift'.

Of course, all this assumes that you have an existing Amex Ascent Membership Rewards account with a linked card.

Only once you have the card it appears. I rang amex and whinged about the lack of disclosure before buying the product (card) and they knew of the issue and said they'd pass on the feedback. I don't expect any change as I believe its misleading by design. Happy to be proven wrong on that though.

Recently acquired DJ Plat Amex - was totally hoodwinked by their misleading and deceptive promos / rewards program. Thanks again to Moopere for pointing this out.

Spent coupla hundred on it - enrolled in their own ridiculous separate online access system - transferred pts across to SQ at 2:1 - had to leave 1 DJ MR pt in account - called up Cent RM who has to handle all my dealings with AMEX and cancelled card this morn.

Left Cent RM with absolutely no doubt about my feelings towards AMEX for this disgracefully deceptive marketing of DJ Plat Amex and my thoughts on AMEX in general.

By the tone of his response I think ALL AMEX reps might be bearing the brunt of disenchantment of a large number of AMEX account holders.

CE, could have gifted to Cruiserette's AAMR account (or your own) at 1:1 and $5 per 1,000.

If anyone has one of these have the sign on points posted? Mrs N has had her card for some weeks and made the requisite purchases. No points yet :(

edit to add: the points have shown up in the Amex account. Now await the transfer to QFF

Yes mine posted like within a few days of paying off first statement.

As soon as they posted I transferred to SQ - called up and gave them a right ol' earful - and cancelled card - jerks.

Thanks...will chase up.
While I understand your issues we may yet keep ours. Lots of shopping at DJs. Thanks to the guys above who did all the calculations about spend patterns. We are on the QFF program.

I use my DJs AMEX to buy $200 - $500 Wish cards to spend at non Woolworths stores in the WOW Group (BigW, BWS, Masters, Thomas Dux), in order to earn the bonus points for spend at a supermarket on the AMEX.

There's a new process for all Wish cards over $200 paid for by credit card now, where they check photo ID.

I gather they are getting concerned about fraud.

Gotta love DJ's and their willingness to hand out cards / dispense bonus pts. They are almost as liberal as NAB - apply apply apply - receive receive receive - long live CCs and sign on bonii.
