"Aromas of boysenberries off the tree, bleeding pomegranate and rhubarb stem, iron-enriched soils, resting meat and wattle seed spice.
There is adzuki bean sweetness with a rush of powdery tannins that sweeps you right off your feet."
Quite apart from the fact that bosyenberries grow on vines it's the haemorrhaging pomegranate and resting meat descriptors that made me feel slightly queasy

Bought one of these from nicks to try for $20 and I'm quite impressed. Big wine @ 16% alcohol but not finding it porty at all, super yum. Really good value for $15 imo.

I tend to like Jeanneret wines and they pop up on Winestar sometimes as hidden deals. Last one I saw went quickly & was a worthwhile purchase - 2021 Jeanneret Minerva Reserve Cabernet for $10pb in a dozen lot.

A prestige release which enjoys more time in the cellar than most and it reveals the benefits of that. Under diam. Deep maroon hue, the nose promises us a wine that will be big and bold. There are aromas of cassis, blueberries, mocha, coffee beans and more – it is beautifully aromatic. The oak is deftly handled. From 65-year-old vines in Blewitt Springs; Deeply coloured, almost impenetrable in the glass, this is a powerful expression from a district oft known for elegance, yet there is composure, too. Familiar blue floral and blue fruit notes simply feel more compressed, more concentrated. Boysenberry, blueberry, crème de violette, ripe plums, soft licorice, fresh coffee grounds and blackberry pastille. Tannins are polished, the balance keenly judged. More CW unloading. The RRP is obviously ridiculous and the bottle weight completely unnecessary, but I have tasted the wine and the reviews are fair. Plenty of black fruits, smooth without heat and very drinkable for $25. I don't see any point in cellaring. For those who like a big young McLaren Vale shiraz at a very reasonable price.
