Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Pass (again!).

Best I could spy was Coldstream Hills reserve pinot noir for $43 shipped as a bud, but there are other, better buys for that sort of money through other channels if I play my cards right...

(Search on 'View Options' to show the ones with a single bottle option.)

I reactivated a long lapsed account yesterday afternoon to access cheap Orangecello & Mandarinecello which I left in the cart.
I had considered checking out as a guest to unfairly use first time buyer $20 discount, but decided that was a bit petty & mean. 😇
Missed call at 6pm was identified as from them thanks to Reverse Australia & tagged.
Another call this morning just before 10am fell just inside my tolerance threshold.
A foreign sounding chap with an Aussie sounding name was here to help me with my purchase (sic).
Poor guy really struggled with the booze names.
But wanted the sale, sweetened with a $10 discount.
I said I was thinking of adding more (I wasn't, I didn't find anything yesterday) but the discount on the unpronounceable tipples had to be now.
I relented & said Let's Do It.
I felt the joy.
But then he had to confirm the impossibly named products. Which I never assisted in pronouncing.
Lucky the Limoncello wasn't available.
My question is: Did I lose more Karma this morning than I gained through not abusing first timer discount? 😈👿

please let us know if any of the wine ended up corked

I got some 2007 St Hugo Cabernet Sauvignon recently. It’s good. Ticks the aged Coonawarra box well. However it’s a bit one dimensional. I’d expect similarly aged Wynns Black Label to be a class above it. But for the price, it was $35 a bottle, I’m happy.

Really enjoying this in the warmer weather, the love heart on the cork and well designed label is a bonus. Wondering how it will age...
I had their 2018 just now and it drinks great. Possibly at the peak. 2022 feels a bit younger so I'd say medium ageing like 5 more years would work.
